Thanks, baglady! It is a relief, and now the excitement is setting in that I'll be able to do something new :)

At least, if the developer goes bust as is not unlikely to happen, that Xanadu thing won't open for years and its visitors won't take up any of the parking spaces until then.

Some mornings there just isn't enough coffee in the world.
Stock-pick question for The Box: If choosing between: ConAgra Foods (CAG) Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc (FCX) JP Morgan Chase (JPM) Kimberly-Clark (KMB) Which would you go with? I'm not concerned about any short-term volatility (or cyclical issues, as with the mining sector), and am looking at holding for the long-haul. |
I definitely saw a new parking deck and the thing seems pretty damned impressive.
I wonder if CO is going to start doing weekend shopping specials like NW does/did for the Mall of America. I can just see it now, "Your ticket to Xanadu" and we'll have a bunch of kettles thinking they are buying tickets to the musical. |

Any truth to this rumor ? |

People will always need many of their core products. |
What the heck is up with the new stadium in the Meadowlands? Didn't they just add a bunch of boxes to the old one? I resent having my tax dollars pay for wasteful extravagances like unneeded new stadiums. Before you tell me that this one (or the new ones for the Yankees and Mets) is a private deal with private funding, remember the tax breaks that the builders always get. :td:

It may be ConAgra. When the economy turns around, people will start going back to prepared food. I'm assuming they got nailed this past year with the wholesale food price increase along with the spike in oil so their earnings have to be off.

Portions of the post that previously appeared in this space have been deleted. I would provide you with a reason why, but doing so would likely be against the TOS.

Any idea what 4 NW jets (1 a 752) are doing at the CO Cargo area?

From one who has bought tickets to the games and attended most of them thoughout the thirty-something years of that stadium's existence, I am on the fence about the replacement.
Unfortunately for this day and age, the old Stadium is considered relatively obsolete. It lacks a lot of creature comforts, the seats are now considered not as comfortable as newer ones, the egress and exiting for lower seats in the lower deck and higher seats in the upper is very difficult, and there is not enough room for the type of club facilities that are par for the course nowadays. All it now really has going for it is that the sight lines are very good. And that does not make much difference when the crowd decides to stand for much or all of the game, as is now the practice. Since I do not like this practice, I thought long and hard about whether to buy the PSL when it was offered. I bit, but will give it back to them during the option period if I do not like the product. |
