And as soon as this c@rp is paid off, he won't be using them either. Charging close to $150 for sending two camera phone photos via MMS is beyond ridiculous.
I can't stand 'em and don't understand why people even use them. Their service is miserable, their customer service is putrid and their bend-over factor is second only to Verizon. |

ALCO how do you find out when SPG upgrades your room?
Is there a way to see it online? I've never noticed anything that would point it out. |

And some people think I'm nuts for having a pay-as-you-go O2 phone via Mobal. $150 is just nuts.
I pulled up my T-Mobile bills from similar trips. Last time I was in France and Spain I used almost three times the data he did, and yet my bill was about 30% of this for considerably more data usage. That was a little over two years ago, so I checked my data roaming rates with T-Mobile and they really haven't changed during that time. I fought this thing as long as I could this morning and got nowhere with them. One lady said "I always tell people to buy a SIM card once they get there and not use our service because we rip you off." I appreciate her honesty… hopefully for the sake of her employment status in this economy I hope there wasn't a supervisor listening in on that comment. Anyway, we have an extension to pay this off, and he's switching services as soon as he can get to DC to migrate the DC number he has from AT&T to another carrier. I realize my service with T-Mobile is generally slower in most markets, and they have some coverage holes in the US that AT&T doesn't have, but I certainly get a lot more for what I pay, and have never had to deal with a bad customer service agent with them. To AT&T's credit, everyone I spoke with this morning was quite friendly and tried to be accommodating, but they weren't in a position to do anything about this. |

I just clicked on my upcoming stay and it showed a changed room type. Also, sometimes when they upgrade you, you will get an error message when clicking on your upcoming stay, indicating that your reservation cannot be displayed. That's when you call up the Plat Concierge Line and have them email you a new copy of your reservation. The new copy from SPG will reflect whatever room type they upgraded you to.

Does any one think this would be a reasonable offer for CC?
H: 35k UA and 2 P-Club passes expiring 10/09 W: 29k SPG If not what do you think would be reasonable for what I have in the means of SPG points? I honestly have no clue but I do know that it is 20k spg for 25k (most airlines). |

It's the $400+ worth of data usage, which really isn't a huge amount of data when you review the details on the bill, that's the killer.
