I think the Marriott site is much better than spg.com.

The functionality always works well, but the layout and flow of the site seems very clunky. The layout and flow of SPG.com, while far from perfect, seems better to me.

That was about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. :p

Drinking tonight. Are you guys going to be at La Carafe past 11? If so, I can stop in. If not, well... have fun. Do they have TVs there? The BCS game will be on late - past 11 tonight.

I'll pick up 2 new routes but no new aircraft or carriers.

I get 3 new routes (all three flights :D), one new aircraft and four new airports. And it cannot come soon enough.

No way that affects MacBook Air prices, IMO. Still a different market segment because of the screen size differences.

t

Just got home a bit ago from the JetLag sleep study. That was a cluster-f$%^ of just about everything. Th G IV was nice, but the guy in our group exposing himself to the nurses in France was not good (and there is more but not that I will write online). Neither was me having to work with the chaperone guy to figure out if we were going to let him fly home with us or not. It was absolutely ridiculous. On the plus side, I have a shot at a job based on it, so that might not be too bad.

CM, did I notice that you might have found a new job?? Sorry, but I only can handle catching up on the last 200 posts right now.

Welcome back! You'll have to tell us all about the sleep study trip in BRU - I'm very curious to hear about what it was like.

I am guessing that I am the only one around here who is top tier in all three of those programs and uses all three of the websites with regularity.

I would rank the Marriott site at the top of those three with the spg site coming in a rather poor third. Marriott has the excellent feature of immediately showing you a map with the location of all of the properties in the area you need and having easy reservation links that work right away with no interim steps.

The IC site is interesting in that I do like its grid showing the rate for each night of the stay and it seems to me that the navigation features are adequate.

But do not get me started on spg.com. It is amazing how poorly it was conceived and it is to be avoided in favor of the ordinary Starwood site (which is certainly mediocre in its own right) until all of the preliminaries have been covered and you need to check out your own account.

Hello, boxers ... You can connect via CO flights quite easily to this amazing upcoming DO. By the time this comes up, you'll be able to earn CO miles on the special SK flights :p

Time to see if the Powerball lottery is high enough to drive to PA to get a ticket.

I've plenty of stories to tell. The me high as a kite on the drugs and rattling off my aerogeek knowledge and getting laughed at but not being able to slow down my speaking was but one of the fun bits. :D
