yadda yadda yadda, it was a University cheerleader team doing their calendar shoot. @:-) I think it was UF, but not 100% positive on that. [/random story] |
My favorite poster from UA-land insists on sitting in J for the Airbus Do......

A few weeks ago, the topic of a CDG arrivals lounge was brought up (maybe it was in the BRU DO thread, I forget...). I just came across this thread where some people are reporting that ST+ members are granted access after a long haul flight. Has anyone tried getting in to this lounge? The thread seems to be full of mixed experiences.
I believe CO arrives in 2A, is it difficult to go over to 2C? It looks like a short walk or monorail ride. |

I stayed there a couple years ago and my meetings finished early so I plopped down by the pool. I'm sitting there drinking a $39 cerveza and checking my blackberry and I look up and notice a whole bunch of hot co-eds around the pool. Like, a lot of them.

[/random story] I was in LA working for the mouse and decided to stay at the Hollywood Rennaisance. I walk in and am amazed by the gaggle of beautiful women everywhere. Thinking nothing of it, the next morning and eve same thing. Then I realized it wasn't normal since I had stayed there a few times prior. Turns out, I finally find out that all the Victoria's Secret models were staying there for the annual lingerie show. Needless to say my coworkers were pissed that they decided to stay in Glendale. :D:D |

A couple years ago I was working on a project that had me out in LAS with an unhealthy frequency. On my 4th or 5th trip out there, just as the  was setting in, I happened to be staying at THEhotel during the AVN awards, which were happening at the Man Bay. THEhotel aka THE:rolleyes: happened to be where all the :-:'s where staying. yadda yadda yadda. I took an interesting elevator ride at 2am. |

yadda yadda yadda. I took an interesting elevator ride at 2am. Of course, one of my other friends that tagged along "knew" people there. We met a strange fellow who is apparently a Dr and serves a number of the community. Nonetheless, everyone knew this guy so you walk around saying "I know Dr. xxx" and doors just magically opened. We hung around until 1am or so and there was a lot going on and the clubs were going crazy. It was just surreal to be sitting there eating dinner and watching half naked people walk by. Not to mention, sitting two tables away from Ron Jeremy. The big thing I learned from that trip? I never thought there was a day where i'd be happy to see clothed women. |

Fun fun. What's weird is that neither JFK or LGA are showing any delays from the wind.

As soon as the crosswind component gets too high across the 4-22's, it's over Johnny. EWR (unlike JFK) doesn't have that usable cross runway to switch the sequencing over to as long as you're dealing with anything larger than a 737.

I too have seen a decent amount of ops on 11/29. It all depends if the FAA is in a :rolleyes: mood or not.
