Don't you also get free booze on NW TATL whY, as they match KL's policy... or has that changed?

Yep. Surprisingly humid, as well. I guess the proper desert doesn't start until you get a bit further south from here.

You will live with NW for 7 hours. How long are you going to live with your mother? Capeesh???

There's more to it than that which isn't publicly suitable.

Definitely check out the Van Gogh Museum, and poke around the Red Light District for half an hour or so. If the weather is nice, I also recommend checking out the Vondelpark. Nearby is the Leidzeplein (sic), which has lots of good restaurants and shopping.

I did the Rijksmuseum instead of Van Gogh - my first hotel was adjacent to the Vondelpark, the second was adjacent to the Rijksmuseum.

Mike Rolls With Saget...got the picture during a show. He was kind enough to stop the performance.

Don't know what to say. Will have to dig up photos from when I co-hosted a radio show years ago.

I've hit possums, snakes, raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, a turtle, a cat - called the cops on the latter, as I tried to find it after it scurried off. One day, I described my commute as the "Anti-Noah".

Yes, WBC on the 330 is indeed very nice. However, I found the food underwhelming.

The Rijksmusem is a must when in AMS. You can bet that I will be visiting it on my upcoming trip.

I enjoyed my WBC experiences on the A330 and agree that they are much better than CO on the daytime flights home due to the better seat.

But, IIRC, DL may be putting a 763 or 752 on the AMS-EWR flight so you may need to be careful.

Then again, if someone else is paying then it may just be a good idea to keep your piehole closed and enjoy the miles from a free trip.

Both museum are top class, but I prefer the Rijksmusem as well.

The DL-operated conversion is rumored to be happening after my flights. Last I read was late June. The stink of it is that Mom and client are already in J and that the decision on me is being made without it being put to the client. If the client says no, I'll live with that. My mother not even opening it for consideration is what is annoying and unfair about it.

On my last trip to Asia, the Japanese meal I had in WBC on DTW-NRT was quite good. The entree on the return, however (sweet and sour chicken with rice) was one of the worst airline meals I have ever had. I have had coach meals that were better.

Me too. The Rijksmusem was like having a historical story told to me......I need to be spoonefed.

I would still take a step back and look at it as a trip you would not have taken anyhow. I might also suggest that if you would still like to discuss it more, ask if a higher fare class might be in order for an easier upgrade and/or 150% EQMs. But pushing too hard may result in no trip and thus no miles.

delta.com is a complete piece of garbage.

And there are two audio tours available - essentially a "tourist" class and a "serious observer" class. I enjoyed the latter, although I did skip some of the tracks.

The food I photographed was U.S. catered, MSP-AMS. I was surprised; I had a better meal in AA F from DFW-LAS last week.

It is amazing at how many airline web sites make it so difficult to find information or even purchase tickets.

Good points all. Now to see if she'll let me stay on CO...I've been on an A330 - I don't have the 764.
