Lucky Northeasterners. IAH isn't getting discounted. $745a/i per FareCompare.

I am about to pull the trigger on an Acer Aspire One from Amazon for $289 and think I will purchase the additional RAM, as well.

That sounds like the 3-cell battery, not the 6-cell. You'll only get half the battery life that way. I wouldn't do it for the 3-cell model.

PFFFGH.

I'd rather not  with EWR/LGA/JFK on a weekly basis if it meant paying an extra couple hundo on a random route.

Starting the Honeymoon off on a  note. MSY-MIA at 06:00 in AA Y.

IAH isn't as bad, but we have our fair share of ATC delays, and once T-Storm season starts, all bets are off regarding delays. I'd be happy not to get raped all the time on long-haul flights. CO knows it has a largely captive market at IAH for many of its international routes, as there's no competition from WN on those routes. There's only a handful of European cities where you'll regularly see cheap flights from IAH.

How short is the average battery life on the 3-cell?

So Mrs. Mbm3 is taking us to Banff in a couple weeks and I realized that I had not really taken a lot of snow pictures. Any suggestions on filters for my Nikon D50? I have daylight filters on my lenses, but wonder if any others might be a good idea?

I just noticed that the $289 one also comes with only a 120 gig hard drive, so I will be going with the 6-cell/160 gb hard drive model for $319.

Seems to be a wise choice. Add the RAM as well.

Dear Captain Douche having a speakerphone call at top-volume in the PC,

You suck. That is all.

Best Regards,

Walk by the dear Captain and have a raging coughing fit. Or if you have your drink on already, a raging burp might be funny.
