Just make sure you don't get stuck with a V, T, L, or K fare.

I'm thinking of booking a CO fare on NW metal at half the cost. Have no idea what type of (SkyTeam partner) credit I might earn ...

I guess it's only 100% if it's credited to NW?

Not that DL.com would give you an easy place to read up on that like CO does.

Are you crediting a NW flight to CO? If so, it doesn't matter where you book it - if it is in NW VLTK, you will earn 50% EQM. Also, the Extra Mile applies only to CO-operated flights.

(Yes.)

Correct. Those fares only earn 50% EQMs (100% RDMs though) when credited to CO.

Argh. The RDM's make it a little less painful, but this is the first year that I would have had an outside shot at status, and even though I make fun of the people who take it way too seriously, it would have been interesting to make the threshold and do some status flying.

Unfortunately too true - NW metal is generally OK but this could fall under the "CO flight operated by a SkyTeam partner" clause. I won't know if it will count as a CO flight or NW flight without calling SMS (and even then still won't know) ...

Afternoon (night?) Box.

I've lost track of time. The sun's currently shining outside of the SYD NZ lounge but beyond that I have no idea of the time or date...I think it's still Sunday back in the states.

rolov and CO1E I've secured TimTams -- let me know where you want me to send them.

And I have a update on the US Consulate here.

They were previously rated as a

But I'm pleased to upgrade them to a :)

Once I was finally able to get through to someone who was able to set up an appt the process was painless. Stopped by this morning, gave them the PP and in less than 30 minutes I got it back with the additional pages.

Looking back to getting into IAH this Tuesday.

Night (morning?) everyone!

If you are crediting to DL and it is CO-coded, but NW-operated, it should earn 50% EQMs if booked in one of the lower fare classes.

Glad to hear you're alive and well! Great news on the passport. Enjoy the lounge.

Tried out a new Italian place near my house today. E&V Ristorante. Excellent food and huge portions, but I was the youngest one there by 40 years . It seems to be popular with the seniors. One reviewer on zagat says "Flashback to the Eighties. Classless Patersonians think its the place to be "

Perceived class of clientele is unimportant if the food is solidly done. There's a Mexican joint out by my fiancee that she hesiated on agreeing to go to because of the neighborhood. Then I showed her the Zagat numbers. We haven't gone yet, but she has since agreed that the bad neighborhood is worth something so highly rated.
