It is amazing at how many airline web sites make it so difficult to find information or even purchase tickets.

Buggy thought the new release is, I find CO.com to be one of the most visually inoffensive airline sites out there. AA, DL, and LH come to mind as having been designed by someone who would never use the site themselves.

It should be pretty easy to supply you with a flattened armadillo. One passes an example here almost daily. Can't recall the last time I saw one on the move though.....

As a northerner, one of the highlights of my trip to Cumberland Island, Georgia last year was stumbling upon an armadillo sniffing around the trail a few feet ahead of me.:D Much better than the skunks that normally cross my path.

Good points all. Now to see if she'll let me stay on CO...I've been on an A330 - I don't have the 764.

Why don't you play around with ITA and see if you can get some great aeroporn on your way to/from AMS. MD11, 74M, 744, 346 come to mind pretty quick if you are flexible and creative. Truly geek it out baby!

:D

Very true. I like NWA.com as well.

Really? I hate nwa.com! The way they present flight options as a round trip instead of selecting outbound and return individually annoys me. I know you can break it up and select a certain departure and then select your return, but if you do it this way you don't know the price until you select the return segment. I think the way CO presents flight options is much more intuitive.

In comparison with CO.com I agree with you but in comparison to other sites it rocks.

I have MD-11 and 744, but the 74M and 346 options are intriguing. But then again, I shouldn't b!tch about free...my one true catch is that I want 100% EQM. I'm also getting a new line and a new dot. I wonder if I can sell BF on the way over and Y one the way home if I use 20K and client pays the copay...if I stay on CO and get Extra Mile credit, I'll be spending 20K to make back almost 11K.

VS to LHR will get you the 346 and maybe premium economy is in order?

If you have the free time, wind your way over to LCY for your AVRO ride to AMS. Or, try a KL 734, F50 or F70 from LHR.

ETA: I would have some fun and do the day flight to London and bag at a cheap hotel overnight before continuing onward. Makes a quick trip much easier.

Aerogeekery as you describe is 3x the price on VS.com - if I'm trying to argue for more spend, I'd be dumb not to argue for it putting me into a front cabin.

Yikes. What about buying VS through CO.com?

The 346 is a nice experience....but yes, I agree, not worth 3x.

Screw it. It's free. I want 100% EQM and I would prefer CO since I have the bonus RDM's to be claimed. I'll suck it up in Y and bank on the back not being full. I did 29 hours in the back of a fully seated DC-10; I can make this work.

IAH

I made it back to IAH. I went through NRT transit in about 15 minutes. Came through customs in 20 minutes, it is a long walk to customs from E-7. Sitting in the E PC waiting for parents to come here.

I will be in the SEA PC at 11 to 12:30 tomorrow and 7-9 at the E PC most likely tomorrow.

Always fun ordering items that you can't identify by name on the menu. I just ate some sort of neon yellow potato stuffed with chicken salad and little green vegetables that I didn't recognize. :D

Personally I would check the flight loads, AMS-DTW is 2-4 times daily, EWR-AMS not as frequent, meaning the NW loads mean a less full flight. Last two times in the past month that flew AMS-DTW I had 4 seats in the middle meaning I had a truly lie flat bed in coach. AMS-DTW is really lacking the pax....unless of course you like EWR and the CO seat pitch on a 757 versus a 330.

YMMV

Remind me not to complain about watching my son play a soccer game on a Sunday. It never rained and we won 3-0. This was a friendly game against another team in our soccer club. This team use to be a part of our team several years ago until someone forced the split to make age pure teams. Our team struggled while the newly formed team went on to win many tourneys.

Today our team is claiming the bragging rights and I am now the biggest bragging soccer mom....my son scored the hat trick. :D
