Awesome! Glad they finally got it right.

I'm usually booked for Christmas by 3/1 - I get it out of the way when all the flights are open.

Really? You know that you may be paying for a more expensive ticket, as the good discount fares aren't often loaded nine months out.

It's like those Ron Popeil infomercials - "set it and forget it". Also, I always do holiday travel as premium award tickets, a factor for consideration.

Acti:rolleyes:n Moron News in Philly just said that Obama went abroad for the first time as President...to Canada. And people wonder why I hate the news.

icurhere2 Feb 19, 2009 9:13 pm

He (theoretically) needed his passport to do so.

No kidding! Today, every time I heard about Obama's "first foreign trip", I yelled "He's in Canada!!" at the TV. :o

Does a president even need a passport to travel internationally?

Not worry, all news programs have been saying that all day. Don't give Jim a hard time. It's some tradtion that the Pres' first "foreign" trip is to Canada.

My itinerary that I want is in E - not great but I also admit that I'm doing it for FM lines - I want CLE-FLL and EWR-PHL. I've never seen my city pairs go down in price...FLL for Christmas week tends to go nowhere but up.

IIRC Bush needed special permission to visit Canada because he has a DWI conviction. Now as a private citizen he can't get it w/o going through their rehab process or what ever they call it.

Do they stand in lines at Customs and Immigration? No. Is there anything that says officials of other nations are exempt from passport requirements? No idea.

Canada doesn't count as abroad - abroad to me means that there is an ocean crossing involved. Do people who study abroad go to Canada??

The news should concern itself with brains and not looks...give us dirty laundry indeed.
