We rarely have the Q400 here in CLE. Plenty of Q200, but pretty rare for the bigger one.

My last trip thru CLE I think I saw 30-some ERJ's, a big handful of Q200, and maybe four Q400. Spotting from the seats next to D17-ish was the first time I saw one in CO colors. I have a great shot on that trip from inside CLE - I got the escalator from D down into the moving walkway with just one (beautifully blurred) person on it and the light coming thru the windows and glinting off of one of the paper airplanes. I just bought an 8x10 of it and included it my very rudimentary portfolio. I'm thinking about doing PHL-CLE-FLL-EWR-PHL for Christmas this year. Two new lines for $5 more and another 400-ish miles than if I did EWR-FLL.

Why did you have to mention what Wawa has done? Now I am thinking of taking a quick trip just to have a sample there. :(

The breakfast ciabattas are awful, but almost everything else they have introduced has been good. My new favorite is the turkey sausage Sizzli.

Refresher question: does the $25 24-hour SDC apply to call-ins, or is it website only? I'm thinking I want to do that for the ride home from SEA - we were going to take the train to BWI and get picked up in EWR and throw away EWR-BWI, but those plans have changed. Plus it's more miles and likely better timing.

Oh, and regarding one Celine Dion, I truly believe that her best live performance can be viewed HERE.

Sounds like a lot of people are bailing on the NRT fare... I have until tomorrow AM to decide if I am going.

Oh, this is a dark day for the box :o

How long did it take to transfer the DL points to NW? Is it instant?

I upgraded one of mine with CO miles but the other I may burn NW miles.

Instant to link the accounts and instant for the transfer. She had to refresh a view on her system but it was instant. The call to get the inventory processed was NOT instant, but that's a different rant.

It can be done over the phone. And don't forget that you have to be within 12 hours of the new flight to make the change.

Cool.. I didn't realize it was instant.

Hmmm, I wonder if the NW plat line is easier to deal with, or is that who you were talking to?

And it's been absolutely seamless for me. I received an E-mail from NW as soon as the transfer was requested - came through even before I navigated away from the confirmation page:

*******************
Your miles have been transferred

Dear icurhere2,

Thank you for transferring miles between your WorldPerks® and SkyMiles® accounts.

To confirm, 270,000 miles have been transferred from SkyMiles account number XXXXXXXXXX to WorldPerks account number YYYYYYYYYYYY.

As we continue to work toward a smooth and thoughtful merger transition, it’s business as usual for Delta and Northwest Airlines. Please continue to check in and check baggage with the carrier operating your flight just as you’ve always done. Rest assured, your miles are safe and your frequent flyer status is secure. Please visit delta.com or nwa.com for more merger information.

I was talking to the general line, as I have no status on NW. And I was hesitant to do the transfer until I remembered that the transfers were freely bidirectional. So no harm in doing it in advance of the call.

Today has been a waste of a day. I am very disappointed.

Do any of you guys know of an airline that flies from NBO with an E+ cabin other than BA?

Good call, had not thought about them doing the Africa routes.

I have waitlisted 2 reservations for upgrades to NRT. If I decide at a later date that I want to cancel one or both ways of the upgrades how does the refund work on that?
