My apologies to all at the AMS DO for bowing out on Saturday. I got so  on Friday/Friday Night, that I couldn't even function by Saturday. It was all I could manage to shuffle down to the Rijksmuseum on Saturday afternoon. "Pace yourself" definitely was missing from my vocabulary on Friday.

I guess that explains the "end of more" comment.

Con Ed just stopped by to let me know that my gas meter is leaking. Apparently it has been for a while, which explains why I smelled gas every now and then in my apartment.

And I seem to have taught myself ~80% of the javascript I need for my greasemonkey script. Always nice to have a challenge in the morning.

I was going to see if he wanted to do a TPA-ONT run, with possibly a side-trip to BDA or FCO afterward.

I think I'm going to have a gravel driveway for a few days. They hit water when they dug out the old crap this morning that didn't have a subbase so it needs to dry out. But it's supposed to rain Tuesday and Wednesday.

I'm looking up flights as I speak. So so so tempting.

Random question for the box. With all the unrest in Thailand, what does the box think about going to Thailand in two months? I'm not making a firm decision right now, but i am second guessing myself at the moment.

Stick to tourist areas and you'll be fine. Political distention in Thailand is kind of like clouds in Germany. Always present.

Unless they occupado the aeropuerto again.

Personally, I would probably wait until there's more certainty that the situation is a bit calmer. While there would probably be the option of a travel waiver if the unrest recurred / continued / grew, that would be a lot of money or miles to have tied up.

Quote from today's news:

"I think it is the beginning of the process we have never seen in Thailand. It's unprecedented," opposition member Jakrapob Penkair said on Monday. "I wouldn't say it is a revolution. At least it's a starting point of the people's uprising against the old power."

That's not good. On the other hand you could always check into a hotel and earning some miles/points.
