Hey :rolleyes:v, someone at work today put a hard-boiled egg in the microwave with disasterous results.

I told him he should stick to donuts.

Did it blow a hole in the microwave? (yes I've seen that aftermath of one that exploded at work)

And NFL films, I believe. I was watching ESPN when the announcement came out. Very sad.

That DPS trip would be awesome (especially the two A380 flights, including EK F), but I don't think I can swing the cash right now. :(

sorry for leaving you guys after going through US Customs stage 1. My ride was waiting for me and had been for a while and I didn't know how long all of you would take with checked baggage and all.

On purpose? Does your mom do mileage runs?

Flyer_70 Apr 13, 2009 5:42 pm

We have two days in Bangkok in June, continuing on to Phuket. Thinking of skipping Bangkok all together.. Not sure if Phuket would still be a risk.

I guess there is always the Maldives.

I'm looking up flights as I speak. So so so tempting.

Random question for the box. With all the unrest in Thailand, what does the box think about going to Thailand in two months? I'm not making a firm decision right now, but i am second guessing myself at the moment.

Personally, I would probably wait until there's more certainty that the situation is a bit calmer. While there would probably be the option of a travel waiver if the unrest recurred / continued / grew, that would be a lot of money or miles to have tied up.

Quote from today's news:

"I think it is the beginning of the process we have never seen in Thailand. It's unprecedented," opposition member Jakrapob Penkair said on Monday. "I wouldn't say it is a revolution. At least it's a starting point of the people's uprising against the old power."

She doesn usually but she wanted a large chunk of eqms in one shot at a decent price so I sent her to pvg , I didn't know she was staying one night. She told me she was going for 2 or 3 days.

I believe the Phils lost to the Colorado Rockies that year. I had trouble establishing a microwave signal with my live truck from their house, so I asked if he was kind enough to drive to Rose Tree Park and do the live interview there. He was more than gracious enough to do it. He is a class act that will be missed.:(

I never really liked Philly sports of any kind, and I'm even bummed to hear that Harry Kalas died. It is indeed fitting that he died in the booth.

It was fitting. I remember Harry Kalas talking about Richie Ashburn's fear of dieing in a hotel room while on a road trip which is how he died. I'm sure Harry didn't want to go the same way.
