People were breaking out their heavy-duty winter coats on the streets of H-Town this morning. They had to get in that last coat day before things go really  again.

Oh well, at least I found a back-up if CPT-DXB-IAH doesn't fly. Looks like I can do CPT-AMS-YYZ-IAH with an 8 hour layover in AMS and a brief overnight in YYZ. Definitely far more  than what I had before the morning's first RTW Desk Agent did crazy stuff to my itinerary.

You should've ponied up the extra buck or two and sat in the regular seats.* There was one time we seat-surfed to three rows back from the dugout. They announced the attendence at under 2,000. I think they counted everyone twice to get that number. You could hold a conversation with the players without raising your voice. And we had our own personal beer vendor.^ He would sit with us for a couple of innings then go and sit with another group for a couple.

*-In the old Muni Stadium if you bought bleacher tickets you were not allowed into the rest of the stadium.
In the new yuppie-fied Jacob's Field if you buy a box or reserved seat, you aren't allowed into the bleacher section. (Which actually has pretty good seats)

Did you plan a stopover in DXB or is it just a connection ?

I have a feeling Disastros tickets will be easy to come by this season.

3hr connection, and it gets me into IAH at about 04:30pm, which is the best timing of any flights I had seen. Really hoping it comes through. EK's 77W and 77L also have the new lie-flat biz seats with 72" pitch that are supposed to be quite nice.

Why wait. Tickets are easy to come by at Yankee Stadium right now. Ok they cost more than $800 each but they are plenty in the $800 or higher category.

I purchased 4 tickets to a game in May for about half of face value. Thank you bad economy! ^

I want Grandstand seats but they are all gone at the moment. A big :td: to the Yankees. I received my annual group package today. A bit late I think.

StubHub is your friend... Lots of tickets well below face value.

We should find a day when tix are cheap and all go. I was at the old Yankee Stadium once. I should definitely go once to the new one -- once.

Honestly surprising from someone who is a wine lover and tech-savvy. Hockey's demographic is much more educated and affluent than the other major sports.
