And I bought a new Glock, which also happens to be my first 9 mm.

Was this your first Glock? Scattering happens when one fires a Glock for the first time. Need to get accustomed to the trigger pull. The more you practice on the Glock the better you'll get.

Good crappy morning box. My allergeries are still bad but not as bad. Last night I thought I had come down with a cold but by the time my plane was delivered I figured I was batteling a minor case of the flu.:( I still wish I could see right tough since my left eye keeps tearing up and is sensitive to light, especially the computer monitor.

Sorry to hear it. Hope you feel better soon.

Indeed it is my first Glock but the first 115 rounds were from the pre-existing S&W - burn off the self-defense rounds that have been in the magazine a while, then fire a few cheap boxes of rounds (then eventually drive to BNA to get new supplies). I almost immediately found myself getting into a bad habit with the Glock - darn squared trigger-guard - that lowered some shots, but I think I've self-corrected. Not only is the Glock my first 9 mm, it is my smallest piece (first sub-compact).

There's a huge difference in cost for range rounds between the 9 and 40 but the self-defense rounds were equally  - $21+ tax for 25 rounds in the 9 mm, $24+ tax for 25 rounds in the .40.

I wouldn't be surprised if, to accommodate the request of their FC passenger, they actually have a mallard wandering around the FCT. "Ein Schwimmen Hunchen fur Herr rolov."

I would have requested they finish painting over the soccer ball nose cones, and replace them with 's.

Yeah, I'm a fan of that too. ^

Is TN a waiting period state on handguns?

Now I know where Atlantic City gets its call center training - LH.

Hooyah to this. If only my mother would become an adherent of this instead of giving me stuff to do and then complaining when it's not done exactly as she would have done it, putting aside the fact that said task is actually done correctly, just not to her taste.

Having DXB as a hub may not be the best choice in this particular setup. I found that the international routes were not nearly as lucrative as a strong domestic route network, which is why I have hubs in DEN, IAD, and AMS. I think we have too few cities reachable by anything but 757 and widebody aircraft for DXB to be really profitable.

As to the issue of leftover hours on international aircraft, I have taken a page from the CO playbook and started booking them on shorter regional runs between their international legs. This is why my route map looks a tad spastic. For example, I have a 757 fly from IAD to LGW, then setup an AMS - LGW route to use the same aircraft. Almost all my planes, including my bank of ATRs, have less than three hours available.

Now if I can just get notabob to stop competing so fiercely with me. :D We have a very Southwest-esque fare war going on in a couple of markets. It is continually driving fares down while we both attempt to keep loads up.

Morning, Box.

The problems I'm having at DXB are more a function of my mistaken choice of the Small World option. If we had a Full World, I could run DXB to Baghdad or something to eat up hours.

ETA: Regarding the 757 assertion, the only city in continental Europe that cannot be reached by a 737 is DUB. My 737's in DXB can also make SIN.

Can someone bring a  tag to AMS so we can affix it to Freddie Jr.?

Now launching service between MSP-DEN. They've got some serious cojones these days, and odds are they are going to win. Should be interesting.

What exactly does the "small world" option do -- other than play background music on some browsers?

Nope - if one has a TN license they do the TN Bureau of Investigation check on the spot (online or via telephone).
