They've pretty much always had cojones del toro - and watching them win has been the fun part.

When setting up a Private World, one can elect the size of the world, meaning the number of airports available. I made a booboo and went Small. Full is the way to go; because it provides the most options that are closest to the real thing. The first time I played AM was in a public Full World, and I hubbed out of ACY just because I didn't know better.

Nope - if one has a TN license they do the TN Bureau of Investigation check on the spot (online or via telephone).

Next you're really going to rub it in and tell me that there's no State-ordained documentation that has to be obtained by jumping thru hoops at the municipal level.

I would have requested they finish painting over the soccer ball nose cones, and replace them with 's.

I haven't been following the story since I refuse to listen to the irrationalities of the anti-gun lobby...did that shooter buy recently or something?

Indeed it is my first Glock but the first 115 rounds were from the pre-existing S&W - burn off the self-defense rounds that have been in the magazine a while, then fire a few cheap boxes of rounds (then eventually drive to BNA to get new supplies). I almost immediately found myself getting into a bad habit with the Glock - darn squared trigger-guard - that lowered some shots, but I think I've self-corrected. Not only is the Glock my first 9 mm, it is my smallest piece (first sub-compact).

Love the mini-Glocks. They are harder to shoot though and definitely cannot compare with a .45 in terms of accuracy unless you put in LOTS of range time. However, it looks absolutely awesome when loaded with a 30-round mag .

If I was buying a gun, it would be the Barrett M107 .50 Caliber sniper rifle.

For a handgun permit? Pass the course, go to Department of Safety, prove you are a U.S. citizen, and get fingerprinted for a multi-agency background check (includes mental health).

For a handgun purchase? Go to the store, prove identity, pass the background check (includes mental health), and get fingerprinted.

Situations like that are an absolute shame - those with criminal intent and wearing body armor aren't going to follow any laws anyway. And one of the first things taught to those lawfully carrying in most states is "defense of a third party" - the use of deadly force is authorized to protect others and stop this type of situation. Those who carry legally understand the legal liability and responsibilities inherent.

I've handled a 26 and liked it, but I need a pinky extension and a grip thickener on anything that's not full-size...even the Sig P229 floats in my hand a little.

30-round handgun mags...I guess you can get those in states that aren't run by the Orwellians.

I can't remember how much the 10mm hollow-points, which is what we were shooting, cost, but it seemed like quite a lot (maybe ~70-75c per bullet?) We did an experiment to try and recover one of the spent rounds - lined up 4-5 large water tanks and shot through them. The thing looked pretty cool - lead part squashed flat and the harder metal sides all twisted (and yes, I'm speaking in very precise terminology). Kind of like this:

I have no idea when he purchased the gun he used and think it's irrelevant (a quick consultation of google shows that his guns were registered and legal).

For the record, I'm not anti-gun at all, but I'm anti things like what happened in Binghamton. I don't know if the situation could have been prevented, but I'm all for safety-nets that don't impinge on our civil liberties, as outlined in the Constitution. Note, however that the right to bear arms as a legal provision defined by the Supreme Court is for Self Defense purposes. What happened in Binghamton was not self defense. I recognize that it's impossible to know someone's intentions when they purchase a fire arm.

However, I personally know someone who's life was saved because they couldn't buy a gun without a wait period. During that period their erratic behavior caught the attention of enough people that they were provided the help they needed.

[/omni] (sorry)

Can't get the 33 round magazine - that's a restricted purchase ...
