Hi, all!

Well, the sore throat got worse, not better, and I woke up around 6 am with the ache and other symptoms of a mild fever. Took Tylenol, went back to bed, and got up at 9 feeling better (other than the sore throat) and figured that I would be OK to go on my previously scheduled 24 mile bike ride.

Which I was, until about mile #14 when the Tylenol wore off, and I finished the thing at a miserable, aching crawl.

I almost NEVER get sick, so this is quite annoying.

What I mean to say, more importantly, though, is - last night was SO MUCH FUN!! It was great to put faces to screen names, make friends, eat, drink, and even attempt to book a MR at the dinner table. :) Thanks again to all the organizers. Good times!

Glad you made it last night and a huge ^ for the bike ride, I would have made it to mile 1 maybe.

I just put on a pound of shrimp and started frying some potatoes.

I only went through four 750 ml bottles last week.

Went through a bit more than that but my mom is here so that's my excuse.

^ to both biking and BBQ for future Do prospects!

I'm chilling on the couch with some chicken soup, which is very stereotypical for the sore throat, but I guess it works...and might go out and get some "water ice" (is that just a NJ term? I'd NEVER heard of it before moving here) later.

Why do you need an excuse? My four bottles of wine didn't include the beer.

Water ice is a Philadelphia thing.

What's up with The Amazing Race? I turned on the TV and some award show was on.

There is a pretty clear line in Central NJ between the "italian ice" and the "water ice" areas. I live in Central NJ but everyone around here calls it italian ice.

My fiancee is watching a show on TLC about women who gave birth after not even knowing they were pregnant.

:confused::confused::confused:

Okay, b:rolleyes:x -- come through for me ...

If you've got the DVD of the 2007 movie Hairspray, what is the music played at the very end of the credits. It's a 1960s retro modern instrumental. While listening to it, you can almost hear an announcer telling you what it's going to be like in the future. I need to get a copy of that or of something like that along with some retro clip art (swooshy stars, etc.)

That's why I watch TruTV instead of TLC.

According to wikipedia...

# "Come So Far (Got So Far to Go)" – Queen Latifah, Zac Efron, Nikki Blonsky, and Elijah Kelley (end credits)
# "Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now" – Ricki Lake, Marissa Jaret Winokur, and Nikki Blonsky (end credits)
# "Cooties" – Aimee Allen (end credits)

Any of those ring a bell?

That's what I was looking for. THANKS! Does anyone have any retro-modern clip-art that might go with that?
