29ml to an ounce, no? Sounds just about perfect.

I suppose I just haven't had much to say that is of any value. Not sure why value should matter in The Box though...

Value doesn't matter here. My 4,000+ posts here are indicative of that.

I only went through four 750 ml bottles last week.

If I drank as much hard liquor as some people here drink wine, posting in The Box would be one of my twelve steps.

might go out and get some "water ice" (is that just a NJ term? I'd NEVER heard of it before moving here) later.

Calling it "water ice" is much more a Philly-area and Philly proper thing. If I had to guess, I would say that the "water ice" line is somewhere around exit 100 on the Parkway.

Google tells me this glass is good for 828ml. Plenty of room to spare! ^

Born and raised in NJ and exit 100 off the Parkway means nothing to me. I've always been an exit off of 78. :)

5 more to go.... :D

"But I only have one glass of wine a night, Doctor!"

Exit 100 on the parkway = halfway to free golf. You got off at 44 for that, I think.

And the fact that you consider yourself a 78 exit person is kinda  in comparison to saying that you live in Central NJ, at least off the top of my head. What exit?

If one drank that many liters of hard alcohol a week, I think still being alive to take any steps would be impressive.

Like the phase when I limited myself to a beer a day, so I started buying 40s?

Got it. The "Oh, what exit are you from?" question from people who have never even been to NJ always makes me .

I guess 78 is more north central NJ. I'm out near exit 24, so I guess that means I live in "west north central NJ".

I've never had it happen to me out-of-state. Jim Norton had the best answer to that: he would always say "Exit 1" and throw a finger. :D OTOH, it does say something (and not necessarily something good) about how pervasive the weirdness of living here has become.

Me: "Yeah, I live in New Jersey."
Other person: "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that."
Me: "Thank you; your sorrow is much appreciated."

Kevin Smith, unending pit of Jerseyite wisdom that he is, does not believe in a Central Jersey. Says Silent Bob: "South Jersey is where I grew up (Red Bank, exit 109) and North Jersey is where I drove to to see the Devils play." Simple, but effective.

This is true. It'd be hard to take steps when trying to see past your alcoholism-inflated W.C. Fields nose.

I just tell people I live in the part of NJ that people would never believe existed. It's way too quiet out here, but it's rather nice with the rolling hills and farm lands.

Nice. I'd have to disagree with this though. I like to think that Central Jersey is where most of the "normal" people in the state live. A lot of North Jersey is full of extremely rude people and most of South Jersey is just...well, weird. (No offense intended to anyone in The Box as there are, of course, exceptions!) :D

Agreed, looked at one today-so the Civic is the new Accord
(which I guess makes the accord the new CRV)

All 4 cleared and the crew took really good care of them.

I am building a IAH-LGA//TSS-LHR//LHR-IAH itinerary and it seems that by building in the heliport segment, it forces BF for the over the pond segments. It's also forcing me to go LHR-EWR-IAH on the return...

Well it's Texas Relay Weekend in the 'hood. Cops are busting people right outside my door. Good times.

There's a stretch of 18 like that - right around where Due Process is. And yeah, no one would believe you - people who hate on NJ think that the entire state is the 10 minutes of driving surrounding EWR. Even down here in the Pines, there is some decent scenery that isn't beaches or golf.

South Jersey's personality is predicated on a mythical horned creature roaming the woods born of a woman who was told that if she had another baby, it would be the devil. Nah, we're totally normal down here.
