Speaking of people who are interested.. I have a friend who travels *most* of the year. According to him, he is not even close to any status and has very few miles - probably due to the fare buckets his company buys. I've sent him links to the DEQM stuff.. still not a recognition or any effort to get a bump-up. I stepped out after he grunted about his non-status and didn't seem to care.

If they don't care, well.. I don't care. To each his (or her) own.

You cant help those who are not willing to help themselves.

Now I get to do it all over again tomorrow at a friends house. ;)

How much do you charge for work in suburban CLE? :)

Good morning Box. Up at 5am, will be out the door shortly for the hour long drive to a soccer match. This is just so wrong to be up at this hour on a Sunday. Two games today and hopefully my son's head cold will not prevent him from getting into the game. I'd hate to have done all of this just to be a good soccer mommy without a kid in the game to cheer for. :D

I just checked the weather at the soccer field. Gotta love Northern Cal temperature swings.....it's currently 35 degrees and will heat up to 73 degrees. I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry but atleast there is no rain in sight.

All 4 cleared and the crew took really good care of them.

Awesome. The good kind.

Absolutely. It's not just a ST/companion upgrade thing either. There is a guy in the US forum who gives up his upgrades if he spots a uniform in the gate area. And IIRC, he wasn't born here. He's a grateful immigrant. (I could be wrong about the last part, but it's sticking in my head.)

Did anyone get Chicken Parm??? Sex on a plate, as coined by my fiancee.

Good Sunday morning, Box. Slept in, and now off to the bagel store for some fresh everythings to put last night's strip steak on. ^^

The weather there has always been a fascinating phenomenon to me. Lately in IAH it's been in the 70's and 80's but on random days it drops into the 30's. I think of supposed to be that way next week as well

I'm sorry I missed it. I was going to come back after dropping the gf off since she's on the UES, but by the time I got done I needed to run to catch the train. :(

Oh, the 73 part is great. It's the dropping to 35 that's

The only good thing is since i'll south of the airport, there is a decent chance it will be warmer.

Guilty as charged. And when I go to the airport with her, I always have my very own eye candy.

Oh, and the Shelby was AWESOME. It was fast and fun, but I've never driven anything that got me so many looks. Some were ^ and some were envy.

Was that the black convertable SHelby? If so I have to concur it is a great car!

Best day at the Shell Houston Open so far. Great golf. Greg Norman made an amazing putt. Bo Van Pelt, great birdy (currently in the lead). Henrik Stenson, I think he did fine, but all I could think about was his mud shot a few weeks ago so I kept flashing to the underwear shots. Sorry, just being honest here. My new favorite golfer John Senden shot even (shortened third day because of the suspended play Thursday) through 8. Great weather, too.

I have an unexpected layover at IAH, perhaps a quick trip out to the open is in order!

I don't envey you. WAIT, I left the bar around 3 am, went back to SBM12 Hostel and packed my bags and then off to LGA at 5 am. LGA at 5 am is something that no one should have to see or do. SFOGate I think it is worse than your situation. A highlight is when I went up to the TSA BP checker and asked if there was a Elite line. She looked at me like I had a third head (which in the condition I was in I could of had). I then got in line and she then came up to me 30 seconds later and asked me again what I was asking about, granted this meant that she the only BP checker, stop checking everyone else to come ask me that question.

I did get to the gate and do SDC and got upgraded to FC immediately. The interesting part of the flight was the fact that the PA announcements on the plane were in English/Spanish. I guess the LGA-IAH market is highly Hispanic.
