I just upgraded last week. :) When I purchased, I knew some speed increases were probably right around the corner, but that's OK as I got a nice deal on the latest revision that I purchased.

Yeah, I doubt we'll see more than speed changes, though I hope they maybe make a MacBook with FireWire again. Part of the reason I haven's sprung for a new Mac is the fact that my MBP has FireWire and I have a few FireWire drives.

Unfortunately, I think the days of FW in consumer Macs are long gone. :( It's a shame as there really did not seem like there was a good reason to remove them! Fortunately, I have always purchased enclosures with both FW and USB support (although, I always used FW since it is faster)...

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I had a flight out of PHL to IAH, connecting to SAN. My flight out of PHL was delayed 4hrs which meant I would have missed by connection to SAN. I was ticked because I had booked a hotel in SAN for the night through Hotels.com and would lose the $$$. Called CO to rebook me onto first flight next day. CO rep was very helpful, booked me straight into First. I stayed in PHL overnight in a crappy hotel. Called Hotels.com and they were very helpful and refunded me the cost of the hotel even though the Sheraton refused to refund. Great service from Hotels.com. Then I noticed that I got a 3000 mile bonus on my statement from customer care at CO. Didn't ask for it, but thought it was nice that they gave it to me.

Is it rude to scan your own boarding pass when boarding? I feel weird handing it to the GA to scan when I could easily pass it below the scanner myself. Thoughts?

I don't think it's rude.

I do find it rude when they grab my phone out of my hand to scan it. Then, on top of that, proceed to scroll through it making sure "you're Elite Access"... :rolleyes:
