They will likely talk about Snow Leopard (the next version of OS X) - a first time Mac buyer may be interested in that.

I have a call at noon Eastern, so I'll look for releases this afternoon.

CM, what are the changes with paypal?

The buyer pays you for your eBay item and the funds are held by PayPal for 21 days, or until positive feedback is logged. There are lots of new protection features for people that have a feedback of under 100 (I have many repeat sales, I'll be 80 as of this weekend's sale geeting fed back upon) or for people who do not have these newfangled Detailed Seller Ratings.

The visual is also very different. I liked the old interface better.

I had no idea they changed. I have not sold stuff in a while, but when I have purchased I don't think I left any feedback. I will be sure to leave positive feedback from now on if the situation calls for it.

That's why I always hand it to them. Then again there was the GA at PHL for the party flight that looked at me like I was crazy for trying to hand him the BP as he expected the passengers to scan it.

Random (and useless :)) question of the day...

Is it rude to scan your own boarding pass when boarding? I feel weird handing it to the GA to scan when I could easily pass it below the scanner myself. Thoughts?

I do it some of the time, usually when I see the GA is busy or otherwise harried during the process. I usually do it with a quick quip or something else so that I'm acknowledging them rather than ignoring them. On various occasions they've offered to let me make announcements or board the rest of the plane, too, as it has always been friendly.

Coffee should do it if you switch to a French or Viennese Roast instead of the stuff we always used to like. The added flavor kick is enough to enhance the caffeine and get you pumped.

Ugh - that would annoy me as well. I'm not a fan of strangers handling my electronics...

That is exactly why I do not do the pda boarding pass thing. I tried it once, and it was fine, but I decided that I didn't want TSA or GA's handling it if they could not get the barcode to scan.

Agreed, I have only used the PDA BP on quick MR turns when I don't need to go through security.

GA confirms flight is overbooked by 5. :D

alt routing would be R1 to ZFV-EWR-SAN.

On (SkyTeam partner), I have them scan my frequent flyer card if I'm missing a BP.

Good luck, though on 737 that maybe tough.

My experience with overbooking flights. for a CR1/2, ER145, 50 seats or less. you need at least neg 2 for the bump. For CR7, and other 70 seat planes, you need neg 3 at least.

That's their job. It's also the process that they are used to. Why throw a curveball into it?
