I'll be there shortly. I have to finish packing (my camera bag) and then walk up to the station. You guys want a bagel? I can pick them up along the way.

Morning Box. I've got nothin beside that. Sfogate, thanks for the code line and sorry to hear about your daughter. Sounds like she's not riding much of a lucky streak.

Bummer on the car - that's the #1 complaint I've read about parking when looking for an apartment in California. In FL they tend to not break anything but rather look for cars that are left unlocked, thus a smashed window is rare. Apparently in CA it's a common practice.

How did you arrive at your conclusion? I lived and grew up in Florida. I've lived in Miami, Hollywood, Orlando, Tampa, and Fort Myers. In Orlando, Tampa, and Fort Myers, I've had my windows smashed by thieves looking for goodies. I never leave anything of value in my car when it's unsecured. I don't even hide my portable GPS unit. I just take it with me, even if I am gone from the car for a few minutes.

ETA: I had my car window smashed in Miami Beach while visiting as well.

sfogate, sorry to hear about the daughter. At least CCs offer protection. And, I am sure she learned a lesson (I hope) about leaving valuables in a car.

Ahh, a New York bagel! There's nothing finer.

Has anyone heard anything about the CO Denver crash from back in December? Seems odd that there hasn't been any news or findings on this since it happened.

Morning everyone and hope your enjoying the weekend!

Sorry about the car, sfogate.

We're having a nice day here. I just caged the tomato plants and hopefully, the lawn will dry out for some further mowing. And yes, a sesame bagel would be great.:)

Three weeks ago she rolled her friend's car. No injuries except the car.
Tonight she parks the car in a lot, goes to a baseball game and the car is broken into. The window is broken and her purse is stolen.

It's her father's car and our credit card that was in her purse.

Sorry about that. It sucks, I know... :(

The AA Admiral's Club at JFK is pretty nice. They've got a decent spread of finger foods and even a nice tureen of cheese & broccoli soup for J.Edward (it actually was pretty good). Free TMo pass and free computers to use, too. Apparently the real IFL is still under construction so the AC gets the benefits of the IFL. Not too bad.

...and in addation to food of a complemntary nature there also appears to be a gentleman reviewing pornogrophy on his laptop two seat away from us.

Interesting tidbit, the San Francisco Police Department does not respond to car break ins. You can phone in your report or file a report on line. Credit cards have all been canceled and the next thing to do is file the police report and talk to the insurance company. Hopefully they will pay for getting my daughter's reading glasses replaced. Stupid thieves didn't even that her Ipod that was in plain view, just her purse that wasn't in sight.

Looking forward to going to work tonight, where my stress level should be alot lower than dealing with a teenager. :D

It was 98 here yesterday. It was 92 in FLL yesterday. I'll take 92 over 98, thank you. Hot is all relative.
