The mason jar story is good!

It was actually very good wine. :p

The problem was that the cork got stuck in the bottle and had to be pried out. It happened to pretty much all the bottles from that barrel. We were fortunate to have a number of oenophiles around to help with suggestions and efforts to get the wine out of the bottle and into our bellies.

Buy your BOB food well before departure as most of the establishments in the area were closed by the time we left the PClub for the gate (around 8pm).

That's great, no food on the flight and shops all close early.

I wonder if the FA's will heat up a patty melt from Steak-N-Shake for me. :D

Once in MCO we took a bump to the last flight of the night and there was no meal service on the new flight. We ended up taking the tram back to the main terminal and picking up some Italian (Olive Garden?). Once we took off we started eating our meal. The guy across the aisle says "You know this is first class, you are not supposed to bring your own food. They serve you a meal in first class." he also goes on to say something about we must not fly first class very often.

We enjoyed our dinner. He drooled watching us eat. :p

In other news, why is CO opposed to the snack basket concept?

If US can do it...? ;)

ETA: Morning Box. Patio is done!

I think that flight's long enough to not receive  for bringing food, especially with the prospect for ground holds this time of year ...

I absolutely love the snack basket concept as implemented by (SkyTeam partner); if I'm not going to get a meal on this flight, at least let me choose what I feel like snacking upon today.

Another victory in the GWoS.

Just scored the DCA-ATL-ICN flights on DL that I have been waiting for. ^ Can't wait to try out the lie-flat seats on the 77L.

Very nice! So it opened up about 2 weeks out?

I would love to try that as well.

Had that happened to me:

Them: "You must not fly in F very often."

Me: (complete lie just for fun): "Actually, I'm a CO zillion-miler and I get upgraded almost every time I fly, and with that much flying comes the knowledge that this is a reduced-service flight. Enjoy your pretzels."

I may come back down to visit my father in the next year or so, so regrettably MCO might be in my future...several years and at least one childbirth earlier than I wanted to go back to MCO.

Nice! When is DL cutting ATL-ICN?

EDIT: Answering my own question - it looks like it ends in September. That means it's still an option for me in August... ^

For the non-meal flights FLL-EWR I always get a chicken ranch sandwich from Chili's before I board. It smells up the entire cabin and people get  when they find out all they are going to get is pretzels:p

Maybe we should start a BOB program for non-meal flights from FLL. Chili's Cheeseburger or Chicken Ranch for the low, low price of $14.75 (Airline Mogul prices) :p:D:rolleyes:

As of last Friday, it wasn't available. This morning, it showed available at the 'low' level on DL.com, so I called CO and was able to book it. It could have been available yesterday or Saturday, as well, but I did not check until today. The only downside is that I have to leave DCA at 7:00 am, but I get to ICN a lot earlier. I can even connect to KUL on the same day if I want.
