Congrats on the upgrade! Transcon redeye service is usually just soup and one of the hot sandwiches. No sundaes and no cookies... :(

Actually, with the last one there is choice. Here in Houston, you have the satellite providers and AT&T Uverse. I know in some cases cable is the only option in a condo/co-op/apartment. I believe Verizon FIOS is available in certain areas in NJ and NY.

I'm #3 now and they have 9 seats open still. So I think I have a great shot at this point.

Too bad there are no sundaes and cookies, I love them.

After this I don't have any flights booked until EWR-SEA-IAH-NRT / NRT-IAH-SEA-EWR in Nov. :eek:

Is this SAN-EWR? When I took that redeye back in September, they had a cheeseburger up front. I ate it, then went to sleep.

Congrats on the upgrade.

Your post got me thinking about possible future flights. Wow the prospects are dismal for me to get gold this year. Maybe MCI in October and Maybe FRA in November. :(

On the SAN-EWR redeye, I was #1 on the list even until boarding. I scored a battlefield upgrade. This was on a Saturday night as a CO Gold. Glad to hear you were able to score the upgrade before you boarded the plane.

I asked about the meal and the GA offered to check what it is and report back so I will know if I should buy something. ^

EDIT: FC meal is a ruben sandwich. I stopped at CPK for a pizza instead.

I have four flights this weekend but my trip to LAS in three weeks is a combination AAward and WN. No other travel booked as of yet, really looking like DEQM might take me from Silver to Plat with no flights as Gold ... I need to get a VDB voucher this weekend and/or find a FT Do to attend in order to remedy this situation.
