I haven't played a round in almost 3 years - I expect to see a few snowmen in the middle of the summer.

I haven't even touched a club since last summer and I'm playing a round on Saturday. I'm scared.

I outgrew my clubs 5 years ago and haven't played since. The last couple times I played I was needing a new set and did terrible. I used to be a member at a country club and was on my private school golf team..... Work is all consuming

The courses around here are major  except two that are about 1 hour drive and cost insanely too much per month to be a member and WAY to much to play casually.

I did get out and swing a stick at some weeds today and still have a nice swing, I was whacking the tops off of bullnettle :D

I know I can take the ball for a ride still (hit the range very sporadically). I'll just say ATC wouldn't be giving my ball's flight the most direct routing.

My ball seems to only ever be cleared for an US1549 routing.

Just let me know when you are ready to fill out that form for the show and I'll PM you my address.

Tempting...applying and being able to be on it depends on a lot of factors (how last-minute I'd have to be there....how much or little vacation time I have left this year, etc.) I'll let you know.

Sad, funny, and true all at once. Congratulations, you scored a literary hat trick. ^ :D

*bows* Thank you....thank you. Your response on the 'lost' thread is nothing to sneeze at.....although the response it elicited was pretty lame. He should have just called you Mr. Poopie-Pants...it would have been more creative. LOL!

"Wobbly Bonkers" needs to go right along with  as identifiers for residents of The Box. It's my new favorite saying and if I ever have twins, I know what I'm naming them!

And now, a bit of Vogon poetry:

The kids can rock, the kids can roll, your son's bass playing is full of soul.
They played real well and wow'd the crowd. Axl Rose, they did you proud!

Seriously though, the kids sound great and most importantly, you can tell they're having a lot of fun playing (especially at the end when the song really rocks out!) I wish that kind of program was around when I was a kid. I had a drum lesson early on with a guy who was so interested in showing me big-band jazz and how great Buddy Rich was that I lost all interest. I mean come on....I was 10 or 11 years old....I wanted to play Kiss and AC/DC! How do you inspire a kid to want to practice when the end result you expose him to is something he's not interested in?! It was another 3 or 4 years before I decided to just teach myself how to play.

Thanks for sending the link....I appreciate it!

Nice! ^

I was almost on that same flight on 6/12 but decided to fly in to FLL instead.

Sorry I'll miss you. Since there's no early-morning weekend service from RSW back to EWR, I'm driving to TPA and flying out from there on 6/13. No sense spending my weekend in an airport hotel waiting to go home (even though TPA-EWR has fewer EQM than RSW-EWR). If I had booked sooner and didn't have to be home right way, I could have (for the same price) done TPA-MIA-EWR for an extra segment, more DEQM, and a good chance for a VDB since MIA-EWR is always overfilled on a Saturday morning. Can't do it since I have to rush back to help my bass player move....but hey, at least he's buying everyone that helps some pizza and beer!

And no late evening flight back to EWR on Sunday which is why we are in/out of FLL. Oh well...
