X-rays that aren't supposed to hurt film destroying it are one reason I'm really glad I've gone all digital. I still have the 35mm SLR, and can't bare to part with it. But it never gets pulled out and taken on a trip anymore. Hopefully in 2010 I'll upgrade my digital equipment again and spring for a full DSLR kit. Until then, I've got a point and shoot I carry around in my bag all the time, as well as a very large, almost DSLR Canon that has up to 20x optical zoom and nearly all the features of a true DSLR. Still, I find myself on trips wishing I had the flexibility and lenses that come with a true SLR, so I expect that will be a purchase I make if I get a bonus next year.

I was away from it most of last week. It's amazing how little TV I watch when at home, and how much more I watch out of pure boredom when traveling for work. Last night was the first CNN coverage of the MJ crap I'd seen since the day he died. And I don't feel like I've missed anything.

Why the @#$% does our corporate travel agent's computer keep changing the seat assignments on my UA reservations from the E+ seats I selected to E- seats in the very back of the plane? :mad:

I now have a daily reminder set to prompt me to go back to United's website and check (and probably fix) my seat assignments for a trip that's not until the first week of August. I hate our travel agent.
