Yep - that's the BoA model (except it's supposed to read the check amount for you). I only enter the check amount if the computer doesn't read it (or read it properly).

I've just had the realization I need to find a new bank soon as my bank doesn't have branches in california.

I still have an account with the State Employee's Credit Union of Maryland. Bank of America won in Tennessee because:

* Could do traditional banking,
* Provides brokerage services (which the "locals" don't),
* Walking distance from home and office.

Good news!

I'm pretty much gauranteed to make Gold by the end of the year. My indicator looks like this:

And I just booked TPA-IAH-SNA-IAH-TPA-IAH-SNA for later this month so I can establish a homestead and wrap up loose ends here.

It's a very quiet night around here. No back ground noise at all outside and no cars either. It's as if I live in the middle of the sticks. The sound of the first drops of rain seems to break the silence with the low rumble of thunder off in the distance.

Quick, everyone run to BRS to see the Banksy exhibit.

Hypnotoad's latest minion... Horace the Hyrax:

Obey teh .

In unrelated news, I am drinking cheap Chilean sparkling wine infused with mango pulp. It is embarrassingly tasty.

Just got back from a co-workers bbq in Newark. It smells like rain in NYC

With a week's worth of garbage juice on the sidewalks it needs a quick hosing down that the rain will bring.

Looking for a new home is just so  here in Aus. Too many people try to overprice their homes... is preventing me from overpricing my home.

The fiancee is out cold. I'm wide awake, in intestinal distress thanks to dinner, and flipping between FT and working on the PowerPoint I'm using for my meeting Thursday. When not doing that, I'm working on pre-call planning for a call that needs to be returned Monday morning. I guess when you work from home (or your remote home, which is the fiancee's house) you could always go to the office.

where are you selling? AUS seems to be booming of late, also up north west of Austin where I am, people want insane prices on their homes, AND ARE SELLING!

Ah. I used San Diego County Credit Union for my banking needs when I lived in SAN; great place, never had a single issue with them. OC residents can get accounts too, but I think the nearest branch is in Laguna Niguel. If you don't need branch services terribly often, it's a thought.

Those of us who are (hopefully) going to buy a house in AUS in the next year are not looking forward to the overpricing silliness. Sigh.
