The combination of the seat design and pitch works well too, and even my long legs fit pretty comfortably in the 31" pitch that DL says it has on their E70s. It's certainly a better design than what Bombardier did with the big CRJs; at least the Brazilians had the sense to realize they needed a bigger fuselage for a bigger jet, not just a longer one. I really wish CO had those planes. They need them, and there are a lot of routes where they could use the extra seats, and throw us elites a bone with a small F cabin to upgrade into.

If you are tall and not if F on a DL/NW E70, take 5B - it's like the E++ seat on WN.

What part of that video is not awesome? :D:D:D

Every bit of that video is awesome. If she had a semi, that would be beyond awesome.

I left my house at 5:00 to take it back and pick up the car and on the way to the dealer was promptly smacked in the rear by another car.:mad::mad::mad:

Hope the rental company is easy to deal with.

I had a nice surprise on this flight. Booked on the NW code in NW K class; credited to my OP account under the DL code in Y class. No irrops or anything, and 50% EQM became 150%, just like that. I also had a full row to sleep in. Very nice flight. :D

If I have check-in problems, that does seem to happen. Including my award ticket in J to Europe in December.

Oh, I'm sure she had to drag you kicking and screaming to both of those destinations.

True, but I'd still go for WN in that situation. Unless I was really desperate for those CO EQMs.

This would be especially true if the flight is < 500 miles (e.g., SNA-LAS). WN offers better pitch than US Y and will give you a bag of peanuts.

All this talk about riding in ERJs... does riding in a ERJ 170/175 count? I did it on a weekly/bi-weekly basis PHL-IAH on US. They were in great shape and clean. There wasn't even "artwork" on the back of seats. Surprising amount of leg room to boot. I don't think those qualify as true RJs.

Not anymore, since the geniuses in Tempe shrunk the seat pitch 2". Before the merger, the E170 was probably the best coach seat of any airline (except UA E+) -- 32" or 33" pitch, no middle seats, can stand up in the aisle without hitting your head.

Is 90 minutes enough of a connection in CDG for switching between 2F1 and 2E? NCE-CDG-EWR.

I try to leave 2 hours to change planes in CDG -- for this one, you'll be at the mercy of the passport and security lines in 2E, since you won't have to walk more than 10 mins to get from 2F1 to 2E. I have made connections at CDG in 45 minutes, but I was in C and thus was able to use "Accès no 1" (French for "elite security").

How about EWT-STL? It's only 872 miles, but it was into the teeth of the jet stream and took :rolleyes: long. I had 12BC, though so it was bearable.

Oh boy.

I have flown PHL-STL on AA's ERJs with padding so thin that I could feel the metal supports of the seat on my back. My body was numb from the chest down by the time I landed.

The whole DL/NW integration is very screwed up. Every DL, NW, or CO reservation I've had in the last four months that's involved a codeshare with DL and another carrier has been totally hosed, and required a significant amount of time at the airport to get checked in.

I will be sure I have ample time to check in and enjoy whatever lounge I will have access to in JFK.

Well I will be keeping my fingers crossed.

I just checked and my NW segments are booked into D, Here's to hoping I earn 1.5 x miles.

I'll spend an extra three minutes in the F / Elite line for a payoff that also includes status miles on an award. ;)

Did they do anything with the realized space or just shrink the pitch to torture people?

The connection options were 90 minutes or something way over the top, like 5 hours.
