I worked out (there) for 2 months about 12 years ago now and it was almost like driving on snow when it rained. I even know what C.R.A.P. was in relation to Superstition Highway.

Been here 14+ years myself. You should see it now! Sprawl everywhere. Of course if you demolished all of the foreclosed properties and consolidated everything the footprint would be substantially smaller.

We should do an off-season cheap greens fees Summer DO here. The resorts are cheap, especially this year, and it's a good city for mattress running as well. Within a five mile radius of my house there are five Hilton properties three of which are less than a mile away. If we're lucky we could coordinate with Viajero Joven to come up from TUS to give one of his famous MR seminars.

Welcome to Delta...where schedule changes until the hour of your flight are not just common, but the norm!

Heaven forbid you book a flight 330 days in advance - you're looking at a minimum of 15 schedule changes - and that still might be on the low side.

Yes, and in the process, they'll hose your PNR in such a way that not only can their website not check you in, but neither can their kiosks, nor their ticket counter agents at the airport, without calling a supervisor for help. I've run into this twice in the last 60 days, including the outbound flight for our vacation a month ago, when it took nearly 15 minutes for an agent to check us in. We were flying ATL-IAH on DL, and IAH-LAS on CO. It was booked as an award ticket with CO miles, and DL changed the schedule and equipment on the ATL-IAH segment at least 10 times between when we booked this in late February and the departure date in early June. The agent who finally got it resolved was very frustrated with the amount of work he had to do to clean up the PNR in order to check us in.

Happy 4th of July to those of you in the USA (except the Pacific time zone - for 1 more hour, and Hawaii)!

Don't forget those of us in the Mountain Time Zone that don't observe DST! :)

Same thing happened to me on a revenue ticket on DL out of LAS. By the time they straightened everything out I missed the minimum checkin time.:td: I was so frustrated I just had them refund the unused portion on the ticket and bought a walk-up on CO. This was before the PC was open and it was a long wait for the next CO flight. At least there are slots @LAS.

The home improvement projects don't end.

Last week a shelf in my closet decided to pull out of the wall, which meant I knew I was going to have to take it the rest of the way down this weekend, patch and paint the holes in the wall it left behind, and then remount it with new hardware. Well, today while we were at Home Depot we ended up buying additional shelves for the same closet system that's in our closets, as well as a bunch of other accessories. End result is what was a simple repair job will now be a full closet renovation.

So, I get the bathroom project wrapped up, and now the closet. Home ownership is so much fun.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Howdy from Oslo. If you thought the $15 for the train to EWR was bad skip OSL...170NOK which is about $27 per person.

And one of the wheels on my rolling suitcase gave out. I'm now carrying my luggage instead of rolling it. Each of the 2 bags weighs about 30 pounds. Ugghhh. Good news is that we're almost done with long schleps around cities.

Quite a beautiful countryside though the city of Oslo itself seems rather forgetable.

Happy 4th.
