Yup - I've needed it though. I had a nasty fever on Thursday, so a long weekend to rest and get healthy was exactly what I needed.

Kinda is Sunday though for me - I've got to catch up on a ton of work tomorrow at some point.

Things are not looking good for tomorrow and I was one seat away from getting a bump coming up here.

Happy Fourth of July everyone!

Nothing but lying on the beach planned for today. It's a bit cooler today than it was yesterday.

I think US-HNL-Asia is valid. I once had DCA-IAH-HNL-NGO-GUM-DPS booked, but ended up changing it.

fozz, I know you mentioned that it was valid on UA, but does anyone know if Asia-HNL-US is really a valid routing on CO? If so, I'll be calling tomorrow to change it. I think I could easily talk my fiancee in to adding a day in Hawaii to the honeymoon. :)

ETA: The HNL-mainland availability is  for our return.

So, the local PBS station was supposed to be showing Springsteen's 2002 Barcelona show right now (the one thing I'd tune into PBS for). Instead they're showing some old dude on here telling lame jokes that the audience is eating up.

I WANT MY SPRINGSTEEN!

I'm going to take a guess and say yes. I can get NRT-GUM-HNL-LAX to come up as a reward reservation so I can't imagine EWR would be much different.

Yeah I had one of those 50+ degree high days in July. In Alaska. Last year.:rolleyes::p

I gotta tell ya, if one has to bake, it's bestest to do it on a lake. On a friend's boat. For three days straight. :D

Happy 4th all y'all.

I saw the fireworks in downtown Houston. Not bad. All from the comfort of my balcony. :D All my neighbors were out on their balconies as well watching the fireworks. My 8 month old refused to go down to sleep.. so this was her first 4th, and she was with us watching the fireworks. From her vocal reactions, she seemed to have loved what she saw. She has a tendency to kick when she is excited, and she was doing a lot of that to me. As baglady and Hartmann can attest to, she is a very vocal and happy baby. Tonight was no exception.

^ to Houston's fireworks. :td: to the hottest 4th of July in Houston history, 101℉, with a dewpoint in the 70s. As soon as you walk outside, you get hit in the face with a wet mop.

Also, very, very envious of ALCO. Sounds like a great getaway.

After ending my Independence Day listening to the Boss, I'm calling it a night. G'night Box!

Learn to look around TX, my friend. Even though miserable heat abounds, a lot of fun can be had. ^

Hello from Tokyo! Out at the Disney Land Resort here and have a great view of the city and of the final approach into Haneda Airport. Hopefully will see fireworks tonight and/or tomorrow night!

Had a great time in Japan. Came with a friend to see the places her mom grew up and her parents lived and experience Japan in general. Last not was no exception as the waiter ordered our food and we had something from the fish that was fried. Here mom said it is a delicacy but her daughter didnt seem to think the same way!

Anyways off to get ready for the finally two days here. Hope everyone had a great holiday and talk to yall soon!
