My mother, being decidedly kettleish, accidentally kept a plastic boarding card from a HOU - SAT flight on WN when I was younger. I wish I would've known back then that it could become a collector's item; she gave it back to the GA in SAT. :rolleyes:

When I was a kid I always liked the name Northwest Orient. It sounded so exotic. Since I always flew out of JFK as a kid I saw their 747's and always though each plane was going to Hong Kong or Tokyo and how cool a plane ride like that would be.

You are correct - it is a 744. Nice to have another one of those at EWR! EWR-ARN-KUL is still kind of an odd routing though...

That flight went from MH announcing it was cancelled due to low demand on a 2 Class 772, to a 744 with Y,Y+, C and F
