Hmm, I wonder if I could convince my travel agent at work to issue ATL-DEN on either CO or UA, with DEN-CVN on ZK (Great Lakes), and then LBB-IAH-CRP on CO? I must find out how much such a routing would cost. Then I could add CVN (Clovis, NM) to the FM, which would help round out my tour of crappy Western US EAS airports.

Looks like ZK only flies ABQ-CVN. That could work too!

Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, as the newer Hamptons are quite nice. In fact, I'll be spending lots of time over the next two weeks getting to know the Hampton in Clovis, NM. But when I'm working in Baton Rouge or Los Angeles I opt for the nicer stuff, since I can.

Yep, don't blame you for doing that. And where there is a newer Hampton I too go for it. Their breakfast is not bad either now as long as you can get over the flat microwaved eggs they serve.

Booking a ONT-LAS flight on WN and it has one routing ONT-SJC-LAS. On any other airline it may be worthwhile but on WN .

Bah, I get this quite regularly on the MAF-IAH-MAF route. Go for the gusto.... how about the same crew group on EWR-FRA-EWR several times over the course of a year? There I was in the FRA boarding gate area greeting one of those FAs... "Pam, we've really got to stop meeting like this, people will talk." :D

Yep, I was on a first name basis with several of them that year. Even better was when we got off the FRA-EWR flight, cleared customs, and went over to the EWR-DFW flight I was on, she was nonrevving home on the same flight.

OhBTW, good morning, box!

Pardon my bad English, but there ain't crap in CVN 'cept an FBO with a fuel truck. CVN was my fuel stop for the C172 doing APA-CVN-FST regularly. At least it made for a good line on FM. ;)

I avoid those egg things. I'm not a big egg fan to begin with — if I don't like well made, fresh scrambled eggs, then there's no way I'm touching those frozen, mass produced egg patty things.

I usually stick to fruit, yogurt, and maybe a bagel or a biscuit, with some juice or coffee. But that's more breakfast than I typically eat most days of the week anyway. Never been a big breakfast fan on weekdays — I prefer the extra half hour of sleep I can get by not spending a lot of time on that meal.

I'd totally do that routing. WN isn't all bad, especially with the revised boarding procedure and a handful of drink coupons.

That's what makes it all the more exciting! And the reason why I'd prefer to do a one-way trip. Sure, I could do ATL-IAH-LBB, LBB-IAH-CRP like I was planning. But what's the fun in that? I've seen the Lubbock airport so many times in the last few years I'm sick of it. ATL-IAH-ABQ-CVN is far more interesting, and if I keep my LBB-IAH-CRP routing for the flight out of there, then I only have to endure CVN and the Beech 1900 for one flight out of the entire trip.

I have a feeling that working the next two weeks in Clovis and Portales is going to be pretty craptacular anyway. Might as well make the best of it.

It looks like my last trip as a bachelor is going to be Alaska. I found some decent availabily to both FAI and ANC. I am going to check some other cities later before I decide for sure. Any input from those who have been to Alaska?

Our travel agent's website can't seem to find the flights to/from Clovis.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Much truth in that statement.

I'll be driving from DEN back to FST on Friday this week, not sure if I'm going to go via ROW or CVN, both take about the same time (10hrs).
