AVL is AWESOME! It is absolutely worth a weekend in the summer for some hiking and hanging out in the Appalachian hills (I can't really call them mountains - they're too short). The Blue Ridge Parkway is a beautiful drive and there are even some good value chain hotel properties there if that's your thing.

"Don't you worry, honey. Just sit back and enjoy a few martinis this weekend. Me and the Jr's will be back on Sunday, with enough BD miles between us to head to the S. Pacific in J for our next vacation." :D |

Yup. Mine sure is. That being said, she's willing to go half-n-half on trips when I tell her we get more trips that way. We usually fly over in Y and home in J for Europe. And she does note that the J is better while we're in Y.

I hear they get kind of protective with the firstborn. By the time they've had three or four, they're willing to let them play with lighters and/or live alligators. Also, by the time there's three or four holy terrors running around, they're generally happy to get them out of the house for a day or two.

Is it OK if I turn my nose up at 2x3x2 J on the 777? Cause that sounds tight. Not DL 767 2x2x2 tight, but still.

New York-Kennedy, NY (JFK) Los Angeles, CA (LAX) $109 (218 return) Can I get a CO EWR-LAX match??? |
I just got the new Fly RFD email announcing service to NYC and WDC. I thought good for them - they are working hard at getting new service. Then I thought, who the heck is Air Azul? http://www.flythenewblue.com/
Ahhh, this makes more sense: We are currently operating on Metro III aircraft and it is anticipated that our mainline operations will commence with one Sun Country, Boeing 737-800, starting June 1, 2009 |

However, if they go defunct, I can always trek up to Ontario for a ride on Bearskin Airlines... |

I need to make my way out to The Azores before SATA Regional retires its BAe ATPs. IIRC, they're the last ones in passenger service.
