No love on the Specials list for EWR-DAY? Air Force Museum, Wright Brothers? This is a crowd that appreciates aviation history. DAY is a great weekend for that. Food options in town suck, but you're not going for the five-star white-tablecloth experience anyway.

Yes, but you can have full control over their OnePass accounts. Mmmm, Mileage farming. :D

That's just wrong. My parents never spent my miles.

I think CO should sell places in the overhead bins for transcons at a steep discount. That would drive more checked baggage fee incremental revenue and accomodate people who didn't want to pony up for regular coach.

I'd do it. I could take a decent nap at least. Not so much with using my laptop, but otherwise not so bad.

Your parents probably never used you as a mileage-earning prop on 8-segment Q-UPs, either. I have plans for my future spawn. Big plans. :D

The frequent flyer version of exploiting your child actor and leaving them broke at age 18. :p

The delta.com specials are even worse AVL, CVG, CAE, GSP.

I'll take 4 places I will never pay to go to for 1000 Alex.

Sure. And the guy in Oz basically does the same thing, with the idea that you spend the same $15 and give it to a charity instead since he can get it processed for free. It is a good idea and seems to work pretty well.

I've been to all of those, except for AVL. I would go back to CVG, at least for the Chili.

Is there a site where I can find a nice list of the visa requirements for many different countries? It's a pain having to dig around for requirements for each country.

On a related note, has anyone used the guy on FT to apply for Australia's ETA? It's only $12 per person to do it online, so I might go that route.

Try this.

AVL is AWESOME! It is absolutely worth a weekend in the summer for some hiking and hanging out in the Appalachian hills (I can't really call them mountains - they're too short). The Blue Ridge Parkway is a beautiful drive and there are even some good value chain hotel properties there if that's your thing.

I dont think I like the PDA site :(

So I was looking at the PDA site for my IAH-SEA flight and this is what it has (keep in mind my name on the PDA site should be RAM, G):

Customers Upgraded into First Class:
CON, R. 3B
CRA, B. 1E
DEC, J. 1F
EKL, P. 5A
JAM, R. 3F
LAU, C. 4A
MAR, M. 5E
MAS, L. 3A
PLU, J. 1B
PLU, M. 1A
RAM, G. 2B
TON, R. 2A

Upgrade Standby List*:
1. COW, J.
2. ROB, W.
3. YEE, A.
4. LUC, J.
5. MAS, D.
6. ZIN, T.
7. RAM, G.
8. TOT, J.
9. RUB, J.
10. FLO, J.
11. MEF, J.
12. VAN, D.

So I call to double check there is not a clitch in the system and find that I am the second RAM, G on the list :(!
