I believe this is accurate.

Hurley was an actual Surf Apparel company with HQ in Costa Mesa , one of the founders used to make actual surfboards and Hurley stuff was mostly sold at surf shops. It then expanded to Pacific Sun and stores like that, and I guess Costco.

It was sold to NIKE in 2002 which im sure has pushed it out to anywhere they can think of .

Is there pre-clearance in EDI on EDI-EWR flights or does one still go through passport control/immigration in EWR?

I'm trying to figure out if a 1.5 hour connection is doable.

No.

Depends on where the 1.5 hour connection is... EDI or EWR. Neither should be impossible, really, but it would certainly be cutting it a bit close in EWR.

No and probably not.

I figured if there was no pre-clearance I would not make the connection. Guess we'll have to hang out at EWR for six hours.

Why do that when you can take a 342 on the same route?

Because the 342 runs before my NBO-JNB flight arrives in JNB.

Doesn't AZ have actual domestic F type seating on some of its MD-80s? SU also has dedicated seats for its premium cabins on narrow-bodies, as does BD (on select aircraft). IIRC, LH also has dedicated premium seats on its A300s.

AZ definitely had some MD-80's with US domestic F-style seating.

For Europe, yes. There are a bunch more on this side of the pond.

Plan B would be to go to a bank in London and have your USD exchanged there. Exchange places at airports typically have high service fees.

I had £20 left in my wallet at the airport, so I tried to change it there. They were going to give me $22 USD. That was a no go for me. I went to the duty free shop in LHR and got a huge btl of Grey Goose for £23. :D

Ah, good, so I'm not going crazy then (at least not on that point). :D

Not to mention avoiding LHR. How I miss LGW. :(

T-5 is nice. But, personally, it's over-hyped. Out of the recent airports built that come to memory, I think DTW is far nicer. But LHR is a beast and a pain all around. Obviously they've made some improvements, but it's still LHR.

LGW was such a breeze. LCY is supposed to be a walk in the park, though I have yet to fly out of there. Plus LCY is so close to the city and bloody convenient.

I'm not sure how BA survives by splitting it's flights across multiple terminals at LHR when none of the terminals are in close proximity to each other and there is no monorail/train to get you from one to the other. People complain about the Terminal A/B/C game at EWR, it's nothing compared to BA at LHR.

LGW was no breeze when you arrived just after the Virgin Nigeria flight with no fasttrack immigration lane, which was pretty much every time you flew CO on the early flights from EWR or IAH.

Vegas went as normal (third trip thus far this year) - result was "up", got completely off schedule before springing forward for DST, stopped in Bouchon twice (dinner and breakfast), and - for the FT crowd - bought some AmEx TCs, used the Hertz free weekend day (no minimum rental), and spent some dollar coins.

Still have another hour and 45 minutes for my connection. Tomorrow are the flights into BWI. Thinking I'm going to try MARC (for the first time) BWI to Union Station, as there's no way I'm spending $100 for a rental car day.

I hated landing there after the Virgin Nigeria flight. At least one hour to clear customs, if not more.

The PJ's were way to short for me. They were like woman's capri pants. :o
