So with all the talk with J Edwards SYD runs. Is it insane to consider LHR-SFO-HNL-LAX-SYD-SFO-HNL-LAX-LHR?

The fare in MR seems tempting and since it's a W, I can SWU it.

You need at least three back-to-back to make it worthwhile.

I was going to suggest SAN - ATL, it's a somewhat nicer angle.

Unfortunately, KE doesn't fly ICN-SAN. ;)

My grandmother's house is maybe 1,000 yards from the southern Broward/Palm Beach border (Deerfield Beach), and I don't see Brits that far south. Not saying you're wrong, but they probably stick to the Palm Beaches themselves. Deerfield Beach might as well be nicknamed Little Toronto. Canadians everywhere.

Sorry, I should have replaced PBC with the Palm Beaches as my exposure to Brits has been limited to this area.

:p:rolleyes:

Sad, I know. I'll be adding ICN, BKK, HKT, SIN and SYD this summer and hopefully JNB, CPT and SCL soon after.

It is not worth it, IMO.

I think it is well worth it IF you consider the reduction of hassle at the airport and if you are going to/from the Financial District. I was simply shocked at how easy it was compared to LHR and even LGW. I made it to my clients office in less time that it usually takes to clear HM Immigration. Plus, LCY has a great bar in the departures lounge and it took me less than 5 minutes to pass through security.

Does PTY count as Southern Hemisphere or is that far enough?

I can't help it if work makes me live on transcons and my stupidity misses all the good Southern Hemisphere's mistake fares.

Time for some S. America/Africa Lines, no?

On the list for sure once I get the company producing some revenue.

I may be buddy passing to EZE next month, but that is still fitty / fitty.

Ahh, but does it count as a new continent if you cross the canal?

I'd love for there to be a $500 mistake fare to HKG for the November/December time frame.

Me too!

You and me both.

My master plan if I were to have won the 21m miles was to EasyPass out CO's cash cow flights to hold their J inventory hostage to help them understand the finer points of why we need E+, better benefits and a BIG A$S statue of me lording over all of terminal E.

Hey J.Edward - great meeting you in the HNL PC last night. Thanks for all the hints and tips you gave me. Hope to bump into you again sometime.

There is (or was, until recently) a huge British second-home presence in South and West Florida. They were buying up property like mad there in the early part of this decade.

Whenever I go to Florida I feel like I'm back home! I can't believe how many British accents I hear, and it sounds so WEIRD, having lived here for 15 years and now being a proud American citizen (yeah!).

That's 35,360 EQMs. Given that i'm already at 30k and March just started, I don't think I need three of 'em. :D

My crystal ball says... "why not?"

Actually, come to think of it, I believe PTY is already on the S. American side of the canal. Crossing would actually take you back into N. America.

It's all good. The far more important point of order is to know when we'll both be there for golf.

+1 ^ :p:rolleyes:

My flightmemory is woefully lacking in destinations and miles, but at least I've got every quadrant on the globe.

I'm only posting this because mackieman posted his and had less miles. :o I'm sure I have a ton of jfk-fll segments missing, so there may be 10K off it.

Ahhh I was not aware of this fact. Noted for future reference. ^^

Quite respectable for <100K total miles, with some very intriguing segments. I'm hoping the Honeymoon will help round out the Significant Otter's FlightMemory. She does have some enviable domestic segments. I doubt MLU-PNS or the DFW-ATL milkrun route are coming back any time soon.
