It might be time to revisit that sentiment. My last four Thrifty rentals (TPA, MCO, FLL, SEA) have been great cars...all of them had fewer than 10K miles on them, and were spotless all around. And Thrifty is not the lowest option out there anymore. I had a Dollar reservation (granted, some parent company) for $30 less and cancelled it in favor of spending the $30 and getting Mileathon points.) The last time I rented from Hertz was in ATL, and the car got backed into a concrete support in a parking garage. That rather large scratch fit right in with the rest of them and it went unreported since I had writeen "scratches pretty much all over" on the contract. I'll grant you the shuttle ride thing, but that doesn't bother me.

Stuck in lavs, using Enterprise: exaggerated humor is fun any way you shake it. :)

Yep. It's in SA's funky 2-3 Domestic F on the 738. Tickets were $333 apiece if paid, so I just opted for 15K apiece miles.

Ahh yes, but how many time have you banged your head on the ceiling during turbulence. :D

Damn those first class lavs!

How many times has an ill-timed bump wrecked your aim? That can be more painful than a hit to the dome.

Preach on, brother.

:D

I believe that is correct. I believe his HNL-SFO plane got upgraded to a 3-cabin international config.

I started looking in the scrapbooks - and found boarding passes and luggage tags from a trip to the UK in 1978 and my month in the Caribbean in 1983.

I had to drop everything an put it all into flightmemory... including flights on TWA, Prinair, Allegheny, and Aeromech (a flight PIT-CAK was $35.00). :)

Of course, in the event that I ever have therapy, I'm sure this will all be discussed. ;)

LOL. Well done.

Okay, I am a bit stressed over some things, so I am now putting my energy in to creative ways to get from SNA to LAS next Thursday. Sure, I could take US Scareways for $70 and finally use my BD Diamond card, but I have the luxury of time given that I arrive in SNA at 11:00 after taking the oh dark thirty arse crack of dawn flight from CLE via IAH for $110.

This should be fun, especially since my accountant is expecting low low cost!

Why, do you say, am I taking this odd route? Because everyone wanted $800+ to get me to Vegas the easy way. I can travel to Macau or Monaco and gamble there for less coin!
