I fit in the seat just fine. It is just less comfortable than the old ones. Less padding. Not a huge deal, but until today I hadn't experienced what others were saying so I didn't have a reference point.

739ER is not terrible, but it is more "big front seat" than first class :S

Agreed.

Boeing tour was great - saw DL's newest 772LR and the #2 and #3 787's interestingly enough still in NWA colors.

They have to mount the tails already painted for balance issues (I'm sure the guy mentioned that in your tour like they did in mine) so they couldn't really change it out once they got it up on the assembly line. I'm sure that they'll get it repainted very quickly at delivery or even redo it during the painting phase.

Ivars, their crab-egg-and-cheese biscuit, so good.

I love Ivars. I skipped it tonight, but their food is top notch.

Last flight of the run coming up and it looks like the upgrade luck has finally run out. I'm number 5 on the list and only 2 seats left. :( At least I have an exit row window to curl up in, as well as some Ambien. :D

The box wasn't too bad to sleep in. There was a light inside and plugs to charge my laptop overnight. It really was quite pleasant and better than a typical dorm room option at a hostel, though you could still hear noise around you.

Yeah, the boy is a bit crazy. I thought he was crazy.

If memory serves me right, he has six hours on the ground that he's just going to spend in the NZ lounge.

I remember him saying that, he said the Shower Jets at the NZ lounge are great for a wake up and relax session .

Watching sbm12's flight be pushed back from the gate at SEA. We just missed each other...

And the aft service door hatch opened on the take-off roll and we're back in the penalty box...

All I can say is "wow".

It turns out on return to the gate they said it was just the indicator light which is what caused the pilot to reject the take-off. The pilot mentioned on the PA that this was only the 3rd time he had ever rejected take-off in over 20 years of flying so I guess there's some novelty for him too.

Landed EWR and now to finally go home. :D

735's, oh how I hate thee.

This flight is packed with college chotches going to Mexico and Central America for spring break with way too many carryons.

Hartmann Mar 7, 2009 5:05 am

For those flying through IAH, it looks like we'll be near the 26's, by the maintenance hangars on the east end of the airport.

Just look for the mass of people and their canines
