I know most of you sit upfront all the time, so maybe I'm the only one that noticed. ;) :p

Last night in coach the meal was a chicken burrito of some sorts, It was pretty good.

Oh wow.. CO's doing pigs in a blanket - that's not a croissant, it's a pillsbury crescent. You wrap the hot dog with one, bake to fluffy, serve to children. Really not adult food..

Yeah, I think you're right. It's not flaky like a croissant, so I assumed it was something else, but didn't know what.

They served this between IAH and EWR a couple weeks ago. I had my usual loaded baked potato with brisket, bacon, cheese, and chives and the guy sitting next to me made a comment about "you know they server dinner, right?"

I looked at him and said "yup."

When he got his carni-dinner he suddenly realized that I was the smarter of the two.

Same route I was on. It was also served on the return.

At least they serve it with mustard...

For appetizers you typically use little franks, like the ones for snausages. Mmm.. crock-pot friendly snausages.

And for those who don't know snausages:

Cocktail wieners, bottle of sweet n sour sauce, bottle of BBQ sauce, simmer for a few hours. Delicious.

I had two of those bad boys on IAH-SAN, not great but not terrible either. I do prefer the coach "cheeseburger" because I can put some of the lettuce on it.

I just ordered a new Yak-42D this morning, so it may be a day or so before I can evaluate your Il-76s. I had considered them previously, as the range numbers are good... but only 108 pax is . If the price is right, I might snatch them up, but IIRC, Tupolev 154s are just a bit more, fly about the same distance, and carry about 60 more pax.

ETA - Thanks for the Antonovs ^

I took pictures of that offering (and some other experimental food) during CO Do IV - of course, those are on the home computer. Chef Seigfried gave us all the background information, including the reason that the cheese on the cheeseburger has to be a certain size ... I have a picture of part of the spread provided at HQ already on Flickr.

Your used Il-76 is listed at $3M more than the Aircraft Market display says it is worth.

But one doesn't have to wait if they buy a pre-existing aircraft?
