This place is rated as "AMERICA'S 1000 TOP ITALIAN RESTAURANTS 2008" by Zagat. It not in the worst neighborhood of Paterson, But it's not in the Jewel section either, but the food is solid. I will be back again for the VFW crowd dining

I'm confused - are there classy Patersonians?

Yeah, they could be number 1, 400 or 999. I am sure it's near the end of the spectrum, but it was good.

I live a few miles from one of the "Top 100 Chinese buffets in the U.S". Still hasn't prompted me to visit.

Sounds like Risky Business. ;)

I feel like causing trouble today, but the good kind. (So the moderators don't have to go on watch. :D )

RBP them if they really are being annoying..

LIM is great. Might be my new favorite big city destination in S. America (didn't get a chance to see SCL, as I only connected there). Am off to explore the parks right around the hotel, then head down to Miraflores & the waterfront for dinner.

 I'm still annoyed that I had to kill my LIM trip for work.

Congrats!

I'm finally home now, having suffered through a middle seat on a DL MD-88 and then JFK T3 arrivals coming home from Florida. I've got a nice sunburn from the games this weekend and a great trove of photos to sift through and post. There is something ridiculously fun about a 500mm lens on a 1.5x DSLR that really brings the players up close and personal. :D

Yep, this summer I rinse, repeat, but stop for 7 days! :)

Good morning from Canadia

This might have been the first time the Canadian Officials did not ask a single question as to why I was coming into Canada for 1 day or to fly to another country.

The AeroMexico Check in was a fiasco, apparently the flight is overbooked
and they have a 1 bag policy , I had to pull the Skyteam Elite Plus to get them to accept another bag.

Hell has frozen over, please move along!

How are you feeling? Any luck with the OPup?

Yes, it is a very long walk - poorly designed; one of the many reasons I hate clearing at IAH.

No OpUP but they did it for 3 or 4 if not more. The flight over wasnt bad. Felt like all I did was watch movies and eat the whole time. The return was good as I upgraded myself.

The NRT lounge was nice and will use that when I return this summer. Clearing in NRT for the transition and clearing at IAH were painless and done in under 15 minutes both times. I am now in SEA and ready for bed.

The FA on the last flight tonight was saying that I didnt look at all like I just did all these flights. So must be looking good or I got more sleep than I thought.

I have your morning  for the cities of EWR and DUB.
CO 126 was rated  in Y for yesterdays flight. They were asking for volunteers, however they decided to give me the OP-UP instead.

I have decided that J is really the only civilized way to go TATL on CO.

It is a piety that I decided to use my food vouchers as a down payment on some Gallegers (sp?) otherwise I would have a description of the salad and main from the flight. That being said my Piper Monpole glass was never empty. CO does get a big fat  for not allowing me to get a day room at their arrivals facility.

Now I am going to do the Guinness and Jameson tours.

I love FT, only with FT can $50 get you TATL J.

Skip the Guinness tour and go straight to the pub on top of the building!

:)

This is truly the best advice. I was there for St. Patrick's Day 2007 and snagged a second free beer. :D Also, the restaurant they have there on the fifth floor (I think?) has pretty good food. I had the Irish pot roast; go for the extra mashed potatoes instead of the blood pudding, unless you like that sort of thing.

Between Amazing Race and The Today Show (in Ireland), I am convinced that mainstream TV is teasing me for not have any big trips planned for the year.

Damn them!

:p

I am very proud to say that I took my first tour there in 1990 when it was still privately owned and not part of the conglomerate. IIRC the tour was in one long room with a door at the end that led to the pub. The bar was lined with fresh pints and no one was counting. :D

Morning Box.

I saw some Syracuse hating earlier in the thread. A  to you too (although I do agree that Devendorf is a ball-hogging punk that will never be as good, or classy, as G-Mac. However, he's bailed us out of a few games this year and the number 3 seed almost makes up for 4 years of his nonsense).

A big  to every airline for the $600 fares between NY and SoFl for this weekend. Damn Spring break preventing me from going to the tourney.
