I really hope Mrs. MBM3 doesn't have to go through that.

Let's put it this way - morphine was not enough in the ER.

Thanks. Luckily we have world class hospitals here, but that still will not alleviate the long road ahead of her. I am guessing surgery...

My mother was cleaning vertical blinds while standing on a chair with wheels that was on a tile floor...blond + Polish = -- one broken funny bone later, morphine didn't do the job for her either.

I am uploading photos from AMS.

Morphine is highly overrated, IMHO. Did bugger all for my daughter. She was topped us as far as they could go, and she was still in agony.

All morphine does for me is make me feel warm. Doesn't take away the pain. Not that i have had too many occasions to use it, of course, just twice after both my c-sections.

CM, love the blond + polish comment. Be ready for a barrage of comments from blonds, and Poles, and run for cover :D:D

Still don't know how or who to complain to about not getting my companion upgrade. Do I e-mail or phone we-care? Where is the email address or phone number?

Oh, well, box, it's time for bed for me. Guess I'll do it another day.

G'Night!

Ouch. I do wish her a quick recovery and as pain free as possible.

Just wrote a letter to NW to complement the FAs on my flight for their service.

No and no, and neither phone nor email are applicable. Write a narrative and PM to CO Insider.

OUCH! Hope she feels better.

I did a bit of work on the camera tonight and I am now more convinced that it is beyond repair. None of the buttons or controls on the rear face work and the USB link to the computer doesn't recognize when I connect it. I reseated a couple ribbon cables just in case and that didn't seem to fix it. There's either another ribbon cable inside that got jarred loose or something is really broken. On the plus side, it doesn't sound like there is anything cracked/loose shaking around inside, so I may still be able to get it repaired.

I'm guessing ~$300 to ship it to Pentax and see if they can repair it. Or ~$450 for the 200D or $700 for the 20D. Or scrap the whole kit and switch to something where I can also get an underwater housing for the same SLR. But that is more like a $3000 investment and I just don't dive enough to justify that, I don't think.

I disagree. I suggest starting in the "normal" channels and then escalating only when the normal channels fail. You'll likely end up there eventually in this case, but it is better to let them try to do right, particularly since there doesn't seem to be any time crunch to resolve this one (anymore).

I'd also be careful about noting that the girl was upgraded on someone elses name/ticket/whatever. Just note that other passengers were upgraded at the gate so you know it was possible and you know that the GAs chose not to follow procedure.

It sounds like it may be a cracked circuit board or something. :( Strange thought, have you thought about resetting the firmware? Never mind, I think you need active buttons for that now that I think about it.

Thanks for your advice. So, should I phone or e-mail? Where will I find the e-mail address? I did a search on CO.com for "we care" and nothing came up.
