I'm ashamed to say that somehow I got a Trojan virus this morning after getting into work. Not even sure how it happened, was reading some news and started noticing weird messages.

Immediately ran some different anti-virus/spyware stuff and found it (since our corporate software is junk). Now trying to eradicate it.

Funny - I just got an email from my brother-in-law-to-be saying he picked up a Trojan. I'll be spending my morning trying to help him remove it - remotely, of course.

Reason # 45,741 why I hate Windows. :D

I'm running XP Home, SP2, and some .NET thing. I've been trying to remove from my startup via msconfig an old program that installed it self years ago. Well it won't let me change the setting because it says I don't have admin rights. But I'm the only user and I'm set for admin in the profile. Any clues how to make the change?
God I remember I use to be the answer guy for this when windows ended w/ numbers.

Use the built in Administrator account. Use the User Manager panel that is in Computer Management under Administrative Tools in the Control Panel. Set a password for the Administrator account and log into Windows using it.

:) I know - they also got some snow over the past few days. It's supposed to be in the upper 30s next week - they're also forecasting lots of sun which will be nice!
