The job is interesting, basically on my own to develop an application over the next three years that aggregates a lot of data and spits out nice numbers. :)

Congratulations!

Hmmm...is there a time span required for a blizzard? I don't think it will last that long. Fortunately. ;) Glad I left work early. Wouldn't want to be in rush hour right now.

We has four or five "hands in snow-thrower" calls today. I lost count after the first

That's why I could never do EMS. I have way too warped of an outlook on things. I have empathy for truly bad situations, but I have no empathy for outright stupidity.

I feel the same way, but it's a fun job!

Hand in snowblower? Yikes, people are dumber than I had ever thought (and I have encountered many TSA employees).

The Joys of Working for a Small Company: Volume 2 - Die Harder

Today is the company Christmas party. There are no executives in the office, and half of the employees brought beer. It is a good day.

Oops. A CO Express jet got stuck in a snow bank in ALB.

"The Cleveland-bound Continental Express flight that briefly was stuck in a snowbank this afternoon at Albany International Airport is now free.

Flight 2767, with 48 passengers on board, got stuck in snow piled on the apron as part of snow removal, said airport spokesman Doug Myers. The flight was still scheduled to take off, after picking up another passenger.

Myers said the airport also delivered 50 pizzas and a stromboli to the plane before it pushed back from the gate for the second time today."

It took me 55 minutes to drive a total of 4.5 miles home. :td:

I got stuck in a snowbank on a 738 at CLE a few years ago - we were stuck about 25 feet from the jetway for about four or 4.5 hours.

Taxiway at DTW in a delta charlier niner for about the same length of time. Caused me to miss my first opportunity at the Upper Deck of a 747 and allowed to me to experience flight crew gone mad. The lead FA jumped out of her jumpseat and got in my wife's grill, threatening to have her arrested. The crime you ask? Expressing frustration during a conversation with the PAX across the aisle. The entire F cabin became quiet, looked at the FA, and all pretty much went whisket tango foxtrot is your deal?

Any way, we ended up on a DC10 on the last flight of the night that was delayed as well. One of the other PAX in WBC made threatening comments around to minor and the Captain had him physically removed from the flight.

And it was ExpressJet even. I always expect to have something interesting to happen on CHQ, not ExJt. ;)
