Morning, Box! Hope you all had a good holiday.

Here's a question for the experts in the Box: Hypothetically, if a CO flight, say EWR-ORD is diverted to CLE due to weather at ORD, and then subsequently cx while the px are at CLE - would CO put people up now that they are not at an airport they are supposed to be at? Or would this fall under the umbrella of wx and nothing done for those px other than rebooking them?

Most likely WX and nothing. This is CO, after all. ;)

Also, there is no way that I would drive to Philadelphia and take the train from 30th St to BWI airport station. It is less than three hours door to door from AC (and if you live off the island make it 2 1/2) to a BWi parking lot and, as the above post has mentioned, the lots are comparatively cheap. Check the Mid-Atlantic forum for some tips on parking but don't even think about Philly any more.

I'm working in The Mom's ofice today, so I will mention all of this to her today when I get a chance. And yeah, I would like to come down and just play golf for a few days. Not sure when that will be, if at all. But there's always at least one FLL trip per year, if for nothing else Christmas.

Morning, Box.

Morning Box!

Another drive to work to find the elevators locked. I would worry that I have lost my job but the company CC still works!

Will work from home again today. :)

No e-mail to all of the minions that the office will be closed this week?

Not the greatest Q-UP but if you need the miles: AUS-MCO on DL for ~$400

Does Amtrak frequently change their fares or are they fairly consistent? I'm looking at fares down to BWI on a Friday (return Sunday) and they want about $160.

I was reading this article in the Houston Chronicle this morning: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/...e/6186388.html and decided that they gave enough "clues" as to where this possible treasure might be that I may be able to find the place on Google Maps.

Sure enough: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...09656&t=h&z=17

They change their fares based on demand. Usually they raise the fare closer to the date.

That's what I assumed - thanks! Unless Amtrak runs a sale, I will probably end up driving to BWI.

Very interesting. Could be something out there, if this guy is telling the truth about what the metal detector found.

I'm considering the little mini fare war between WN and the others for SAT-LAS (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/milea...-76-28-rt.html)

It's only 2k EQMs but it would add some interesting lines to FM and a DC-9-30.
