Mostly good.

I found a bottle of Pater Lieven Trippel tonight, which IIRC we had at the first bar in BRU. Will be popping that one open with my buddy sometime during the next hour.

I must apologies to the BRU karaoke singers. I just saw the Jonas Brothers on SNL (never heard any of their stuff before) Well the singing in the karaoke video was better than them.

I know it's got to be some mistake rate but I just had to book a hotel in Manchester, UK on Travelocity for $90 incl. VAT / night, including breakfast. Expedia has it w/o breakfast for $152/night, the hotel's site shows the cheapest at £85.00 / night and the b&b rate to be £99.00. I'll probably get stuck with smoking room and a fight for the room.

Uh oh. I've spent the last hour perusing free blackberry ringtone downloads...because they're free, I know now I'm going to do overdo it and every person who normally calls me will the subject of a ringtone search that invariably will end up as some kind of inside joke.

I once used the Looney Tunes theme for an ex-GF.

I just realized my 2009 EUA's as Plat suck. Last year I was gold up until the last 3 flights and had a lot better percentages. Is anyone else seeing this?

I'm 4/5 on eligible flights (only missed on the party flight).

I already have people in mind for the Imperial March and a few other choice pieces. ;)

As GE, if I need to ride on CO, I buy the YUP. I'm not the only one doing it and that is a great part of the reason you are not getting the UGs.

On DL-NW, Franny and I are both 11 for 11 this year, even on the cheapest fares. So DL gets most of my business and CO gets a very low volume from us, mostly at the higher fares. However, that may be the kind of trade-off that suits CO's management.

As with everybody else who flies a lot from NY, all current procedures will be subject to intense re-evaluation once CO joins the *A.

I generally buy low fare tickets which is the only reason I can travel as much as I do. That said, I have only bought 1 Y fare my entire life and it was on an RJ

Thanks to jrzyshawn, I am now a SPG AMEX card holder and will be spending a lot of time over in that forum trying to learn their game.:D

We all like the low fare tickets but it seems to me that a fact of life on CO is that with these fares it is very difficult to get the EUA.

I got one of those a few years ago and found out quickly that Starpoints are extremely valuable, much more so than airline miles. I use them mostly to stay at high Euro or GBP properties in Europe and the UK and they save us a ton of money.

Good lord, it seems like this forum is in total meltdown between the ALPA row and the crash in BUF. I do not envy mbm3 or xyzzy right now. I'm keeping a low profile (stop laughing) until this slows down a bit.

I have been doing fairly well with upgrades as a silver for years on my LAS and Florida flights. Now that I made gold, I only had 1 upgrade out of 5 or 6 flights. :(

^^ SPG is a great program for me. Great bonus points and promos from time to time. Glad I could help..

Hartmann Feb 15, 2009 8:32 am

I'm 4/7 for upgrades this year as a Silver!
