Discovered this morning that the SA Glassware I recently came into possession of did not make the flight back in one piece. :(
Thankfully, the LH Beer Glass made it ^ |

On the DC metro?
I'm surprised the gestapo that runs that operation let's anything slip by. Maybe they were too busy handcuffing 12 year olds for eating french fries. In all kidding aside, I find the Metro to be one of the cleanest / safest operations in the country when it comes to public transport. Yes, you get the occasional hobo or two, but I used to fly US. I'm used to luggage by sack on a stick. ;) I was coming home from DCA a few weeks ago and the Metro car in which I was riding started filling with smoke in the tunnel under the Potomac River between Rosslyn and GWU. Watching people start to panic was among the scarier Metro scenes I have witnessed. |

Good man ^
I limit myself to a special per month, as I'm fairly certain each one adds another percentage point towards total arterial occlusion :D Craving satisfied — bacon cheese Whataburger, fries with "fancy" ketchup, and large Diet Dr. Pepper. I'm a happy man. :D |
Another productive day for the Box, and the only productive day off I had this week. I went and got my comped spa treatments, submitted my application to become a notary (finally breaking down and doing it because of work) and also picked up the start kit for a commercial driver's license. The job is giving me the worst possible days off: Thu/Fri/Sat. While normal people would be excited about that, I'm cheesed because those are the high volume and high tip days. Solution: call in a favor with a friend and drive a Town Car for his company on my days off, which are busy days for him. Get the commercial license so as to be able to drive vans and make more money...the beauty of having those days off, a bright spot if there is one, is that I won't have to be nearly as conscious of entertainment and live music around town.
rolov: there are many more choices than that burger...my girl swears by the chicken spinach and roasted pepper sandwich they do at this place. The beer selection is small, but all of it is made start to finish on the premises. |
You guys down south are making me jealous talking about Whataburger. Thats about the only place I didnt hit up when in Houston last week.:( Oh well I guess there is always next weekend in Dallas.;)

Someone really needs to tell me why ketchup is fancy. I've never seen ketchup that qualified as the opposite of fancy...though I did have the organic Heinz last night, and I must say that the tomato flavor is much more pronounced.

Oh, and while I'm on a posting frenzy here: can anyone come up with a good reason not to own a Blackberry? It turns out that the access is much cheaper than I had originally thought, and I would like to get a phone that could replace a paper datebook and also let me get real-time looks at pda.co.com - any haters out there care to share?
