The main terminal area (walk out the CO gates, up the terminal and turn left towards baggage claim) has a huge atrium area (think 100+ foot tall windows looking out onto the apron with rocking chairs to watch) that has some reall good food options. It is one of the nicer airports to waste time in.

This photograph was taken at sunset looking out on the runway from the main atrium area.

Nice shot!

Has anyone noticed 1A being taken on the ERJs by non-elites. I have noticed being booked well in advance of when it usually was. I was talking with an agent tonight and she said she didnt see it as an Elite Seat. Was't this once held for elites only?

Nope, my guess would be because there is no overhead space.

Yet another travel planning conundrum...

I am planning a trip to FLL in April for the Freddies and a FT Moderator event. I'd like to fly CO to help push me back to gold (I think I have a chance), but they are pricing out in the $319+ range right now. JetBlue, which I really don't mind flying at all, has a $219 fare, which may not be the bottom for the market but it is pretty reasonable. Plus, they have a FLL-RDU-JFK routing on E190s, so I'd get another type on my list.

Hold out for CO to drop fares or just book? And even if CO matched the fares would you take the B6 flights for the routing/new plane type?

I should note that there are a TON of flights for the $219 rate so it doesn't seem likely that they will all disappear in the near future.

I'd wait. When are the Freddie's? I may tag along if its after tax season.

Thanks! Getting the blur on the plane taking off was a moment of jubilation for me. :D

Uggghhhh. I almost wish I didn't know that. I'm considering a fourth. I have a 5:35am departure on the 28th so I'm most likely stuck springing for a hotel room in BWI. I need to amortize those costs, and I can fly on the 26th getting back the 27th with a reasonable set of flight times and the fare is still there. I'd get the 125% bonus still as I'll still be platinum and also be towards the front of the line for the upgrades. I also might literally go crazy flying back and forth between BWI and SEA four times in 5 days. Then again, I'd be at 40K EQMs by March 3rd, more than half of which would be on this route.

Freddies are the evening of the 23rd, a Thursday.

I really hope that isn't supposed to be some sort of secret that I let out of the bag.

Looks like its gone at least for 1 nt or 2 nt options. I tried using the 30 day calendar for Feb. Mar & Apr and lowest was $178 base r/t. Looks like I am just doing 1.

Indeed, the 99 base fare is no longer published.

That solves my dilemma of driving to BWI or not. Not is the answer. You should see the jump the PHL-SEA fare has done. $198 to $318

Oh well -- I guess I was wasting too much time on the LX debacle...

You do realize that your nonavailability combined with my presence in IAH means that you have to come up to PHL as soon as our weather breaks for that long-discussed photo mission.

Wow. I got in on an FT deal. First one that I was ever quick enough to react on. Go me.

I'm still waiting to bite the bullet on a FT deal. I was also considering the PHL-LAS deal but I was just there. Ok, it's more like waiting for friends to reply to e-mails, etc. And they wonder why I travel by myself all the time. May be I should just see if my friends house in Boca is available. Doesn't sound as exciting as a FT deal now that I think about it.
