:mad:After the first $350 million was wasted, Congress is spending another $350 million of OUR money. Why?!?! The first $350 million didn't seem to do squat, except line the pockets of those executives who we're bailing out.

Sorry to get OMNI. I'd like to look at this as a bi-partisan manner. :)

I could think of much better planes to make off with than a used US Airways 320 that's been flooded. But I guess it could be worse. It could be one of their 737s that haven't seen a good cleaning or interior makeover since around 1989.

Someone cracked a joke in the US forum about the plane finally getting a cleaning. Arguably bad taste in a thread discussing the crash, but still pretty funny.

They have Fox News and Headline News on in the PC here, with the audio running pretty loud on HLN. A little surprising that they have it jacked up in an airport, but better than pretending it didn't happen, I think.

My plane is scheduled to arrive an hour early tomorrow in LHR thanks to tailwinds. That means I'll get in wy too early to leverage the daily Tube pass. On the plus side, more time to see London.

When I told my fiancee's sister that geese went into the engines of the US jet, she said "Don't they check for that?"

May I suggest a slight chlorination for the gene pool? ;)

according tot he MSNBC anchorwoman, thy test jet engines for survivability by throwing frozen turkey at them......

FAIL!

Thawed turkey....might as well throw boulders at them as frozen turkey, no difference.

It'd be great if it had landed ON the Interpid. :p

Anyways, glad to see everybody got out fine. Just like in the CO DEN crash.

Anyone found out the N number for that US 320 yet?

Also, if you were on it, and you do FlightMemory, it raises an interesting question — how do you record that flight?

Does she work for one of the networks?

N106US - used to be a Shuttle bird. Good question re: FM...can you submit "Hudson River" as an airport?
