Skill and Comfort working with the camera = Not sure if he can even work a P&S.

My future mother-in-law has declared that the PowerShot 750 we got her for Christmas is too difficult for her, even in Auto. I know that feeling.

No kidding. During some times of the year, you could add another 9 to that number people would still jump at it.

I don't wanna go to fiancee-land. Crap driving conditions and three kids with stomach viruses aren't appealing. I gotta will myself away from the computer and re-check my luggage. The odds of me being home before the Do to fix any packing mistakes I made are almost none.

ETA: Post # 4,800.

The first CO 753 with winglets has been spotted out in the wild...

Nikon D40 then.

I was thinking that or the Cannon EOS. Ive got friends back home that have both but I don't really trust their judgement as they just got them a month ago.

The Bogota flight was a good one, but it's been out there for a while. Sitting here in this crap NYC weather has me thinking about it, but I have to go to sunny Boston this weekend instead. I'll miss the DO bigtime this year.

peace,
~Ben~

Entry-level Canon EOS (XT, XSi, XTi) are all D40 comparable. He can have my body, grip, batteries, and my long lens for a steal if he wants. I'm trying to get out of my gear and go to 40D.

And what's wrong with the Pentax K20D?

Mackieman Feb 3, 2009 2:39 pm

So, um, does this mean that everyone will point and laugh when I whip out my trusty Cannon A540 Powershot?

I think most of us have point and shots too. I have a Powershot A610 (replaced trusty A70) which is making the trip to the DO along with my K10D

Just updated FM with my travels so far this year. I have put holes in the record as I am not the best at getting the tail number when flying. I will update when I get that information.
