I wasn't involved, but may or may not have heard stories involving overhead bins. I'm also a little shocked they let people on board with drinks, since I saw a few people holding drinks while in the flight deck area--I was wondering who was going to spill one somewhere up there.

Tsk Tsk Tsk

The FlightAware for the 739ER is a little strange: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N37427

From several reports, CO employees were on the plane when the seat was damaged and were encouraging people to climb in the luggage bins so culpability is all around. I thought they should have had someone in there the whole time.

They did have people in there the whole time.
The same CO person who was encouraging people to climb up there ,was also taking her own pictures and having a good time.
A few minutes later I was on the stairs going down and she was pleading with Scott to "shut it down " .

That flight is from 2005 when N37427 was assigned to a different, non-commercial plane. It's not possible to track commercial aircraft by registration on FlightAware.

I thought you could... Ah, well.

I do think we'll be able to make the April event in NYC. We've gotta figure out the hotel but the ticket prices aren't bad.

I have a rock-solid alibi regarding any  that may have occurred aboard a 739 at the DO. I can't exactly say that I left Panama in better shape than I found it, though. :D

Also, finally managed to upload my Bruges pics.

The plane is a rock-ing, don't bother knocking? Was someone in the rear lav?
That and drink damage are the only things I can think of that might get it shut down, if the bins and seat were not enough.

It's sad to hear that people were disrespectful on board the 739 at the party. Two years ago, when CO had the 752 in the hangar for the Saturday night event, nothing like that happened. I hate hearing that a few people weren't able to control themselves and behave in an appropriate manner. :(

Mystery Tour

For those of you on the mystery tour, were your seats assigned? Or was it first come, first served, like WN?

I heard that some were given golden tickets to sit up front. I couldn't find out if it was random or based on something like plats or CO*

From there, everyone else was given the chance to grab any Y seat. They only put about 120 people on each flight from the news going around, so there was plenty of room.

I believe the BF seats were given out based on revenue. I know fozz was up there, so he may be able to shed a little more light on it.

Totally inexcusable. There aren't even words for stuff like this, and it is really disappointing that the actions of a couple people could have this kind of impact for the whole group.

One of the FAs asked Dean how it was decided who got to sit up front and he said it was all revenue based.
