Yes. However, when they're asking $900 all-in, I'm not biting. :D

clearly $0 is better than $900.

But it is $900 to experience this:

El Sofitel Santa Clara se encuentra ubicado en el corazón de Cartagena, ciudad incomparable cuyas murallas y castillos - que en tiempos remotos sirvieron de escudo - hoy armonizan con balcones coloniales, plazas y edificaciones republicanas, las cualesconservan vivo el recuerdo de otras épocas y lograron que en 1984, la UNESCO la declarara "Patrimonio Histórico y Cultural de la Humanidad".

I'm pretty sure I'd fly anywhere on any airline for $0. :D

Oops, sorry...forgot to post the details. Unfortunately, I don't think you can route via SCL (but it's hard to say, now that routing rules are almost impossible to score...unless you have GDS access). Back when I last looked at it, it was MIA-BOG (on LAN), then BOG-CTG on either Aerorepublica (CO Credit), or Avianca.

I just booked two F tickets to SEA for July. :D It was coming up with H fares for the reasonable departure times (no midnight, no 7am) which were only $400 cheaper all in than F. I knew what I had to do. ^

That's only $100 more per segment (per person) for F IAH-SEA-IAH. A reasonable move on a flight of that length. F service isn't quite Transcon on that flight, but it's pretty good.

I think my chances for upgrades would be pretty good on those flights, but for that money it's not worth stranding one of us in coach. This is an anniversary present. ^

Speaking of routing rules, can we get them from expertflyer? How can we plan our runs without routing rules?

Speaking of that, how goes the Otter's foray into SABRE?

The Solution

It's somewhat more expensive than KVS...but can be far more useful (as you can ticket through them). Helps to learn how to use a GDS first. Am looking into an online Travel Agent Certification course myself. Unfortunately, they're not cheap.

The Travel Institute is the best of the bunch, but it requires a true affiliation to an agency. I use my mother's. Where have you been looking?

Also, in completely unrelated news, I came across this...I've always said it was true.
